Isaak Alexander

Isaak Alexander is an Alyrian male born in 199 Nomad in a town called Akrisos, residing in the Nidinia.
He is a companion in Insight as well as a potential love interest.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Despite long days of laborious work, many would never guess that Isaak's day job required muscles. Though Isaak is not scrawny, one would describe him as average height and thin. Besides being horribly reckless, Isaak suffers no ailments or illnesses and is physically fit and healthy.

Personal history

Isaak is the only child of Renard and Elizabeth Alexander. Renard was a farmer, like his father and his father's father, while Elizabeth was deemed as a caretaker by the shaman of Akrisos. When Isaak was born, the shaman came, and just like he did to any other family, foretold how Isaak would help the town later in life and what his career would be. To no one's surprise, Isaak's future predicted him being a farmer.

Growing up, his father tried, and most of the time, failed to successfully get Isaak into the farming business. Isaak usually would stop paying attention and with his focus somewhere else, wander off. Even the simplest requests made by his parents seemed to go unfulfilled as Isaak allowed his curiosity to get the better of him. When Isaak turned eleven, his father died of old age, leaving Isaak in charge of the family farm and putting a tremendous amount of pressure on the young boy's shoulders. Not only did he not have a teacher to help him, but he had barely paid attention when he did have one, and this is how they made a living and ate.
When Isaak turned twenty, he, like all others, submitted his name into The Selection to be chosen amongst the specialists and crafters of Akrisos. Unlike many of the others, Isaak's name was only selected by two others, the tailor and another farmer who also ran the town's general store. Isaak, knowing what this meant, agreed to become the apprentice of the farmer. This did not work out and two years later, he decided to call it quits and seek out another apprenticeship. Many of those that could have him either already had apprentices or did not want Isaak in particular. At age 24, Isaak was picked up by one of the grocer's of Akrisos, learning how to both farm and be a potential merchant. While many in this area graduate from their apprentice status in three years, Isaak has yet to.

Motivation

Ask Isaak what he wants to be, and you'll either get an earful of many different things or a blank look. Isaak himself doesn't even know what he wants in life. He knows what he's good at and knows what brings him joy, but anything more than that is a mystery to the young boy. It almost seems like his lack of direction is what keeps him going, the idea of knowing that there are so many things to try and that buckling down to only do one is absurd to him. While many might see this as an exciting outlook on life, there are just as many who see this as foolish.

Likes & Dislikes

Out of all other companions, winning Isaak's approval and loyalty is perhaps the easiest. Regardless of most decisions that one may make, Isaak will not feel differently about the Apprentice because of them. Of course, there are a few exceptions to this, but Isaak's loyalty mainly comes from the bond between him and the Apprentice. As long as the Apprentice treats him justly and like a friend, Isaak will have their back in situations.
Getting Issak's loyalty to go down is typically done by not protecting him when given a chance or speaking down to him. Treating him like a nuisance instead of an ally, or reminding him of his downfalls and weaknesses will also cause him to act coldly towards the Apprentice.

Isaak owns a calm male Exmoor Pony named Neesh. Though he didn't raise Neesh himself, Isaak bought him along with a mule that is no longer alive. Though he attempted to use Neesh as a workhorse for the farm, he found that the pony was neither strong nor active enough to plow the fields. After that, Neesh simply became a leisure pony. This changed when Isaak was called to the capital to testify in the trial against the Apprentice.
Known to hop from one hobby to another, never truly committing to anything, Isaak's list of hobbies is shorter than his work experience. The only actual hobby that Isaak has never abandoned is his love for exploration, adventuring everything he can. Typically he doesn't take notes or even souvenirs; exploring the different places is enough for him before departing. Another hobby of Isaak is swimming, one of the only skills that he has improved upon and still enjoy. Isaak's speed in water as well at how long he can hold his breath is tremendous. His love for the activity was so great and obvious that his parents gave him the nickname Fish as a child.
