Sarandib City

Sarandib City looks like a mirage off in the distance. An impossible glass city reflects the sun, so it's like a beacon. Unfortunately, the djinn do not take kindly to unfortunate merchants or ambitious adventurers who stumble upon the city.

Demographics

50% Djinn 40% Blackamoor 5% Fire Spirit 5% other races, slaves

Government

Sarandib City has an authoritarian government. What G'desh says is truth. At the same time, it's pretty anarchistic. As long as nothing happens to endanger the lives of the Djinn or Blackamoor, there is no threat to G'desh, and there isn't a risk to expose the city to men, G'desh doesn't care, and so he doesn't interfere. He remains in a massive glass tower, watching over the people and the harbor, and now and then sends out a favor offspring as a messenger or trouble shooter.

Defences

The desert to the north and the sea to the south defend the city. If anyone got past that, a very large army of magic wielders and shape shifters would finish off what was left.

Industry & Trade

Most of their industry is in training magic and martial prowess. Knowledge is also important. Craftsmen make up the third most prominent trade, with architects and construction being first, and armaments taking a close second.

Infrastructure

Large glass buildings which are nearly indestructible make up the majority of structures.   There is a harbor for some low end trade, and mostly for djinn pirates to have a place of port.   Smithing is very popular, and most of the weapons and armors are enchanted. While the majority is enchanted with fire, G'desh tries to make sure he has a little of everything on hand. As far as the morality of enslaving his brothers in weapons, he ensures to only use weakened, willing, or rogue spirits to place in the weapons. Some djinn have great stories of how they gained spirits for their weapons.
