Plantity

Plantity is a common Gifted powers  that allows its user to control all sorts of plants, often to an unnatural degree.

Effect

Plantity allows its user to manipulate plants by growing, shaping, healing, twisting, and changing them. The weakest Plantlings are only able to accelerate growth, move leaves or branches, and heal abrasions, but the strongest Plantlings can control whole areas of forest and turn a meadow into a deadly weapon.
These Plantlings are even able to heal themselves and change the inner workings of flowers or trees, causing oak leaves to become like poison ivy or changing peppers from spice to sweetener.   Plantlings are generally employed as gardeners and growers. They handle most orchards and farms, assisted by Animers and Non-Gifted workers. Plantlings also take care of pleasure gardens and parks, such as the famous Golden Pear garden in Everlian and Ngisha Falls in Casiv. Many unique plants and flowers can be found at Plantling-owned greenhouses, and most produce found at markets has been grown with Plantity.

Side/Secondary Effects

Plantlings are some of the few Gifteds unaffected by Downsides , but only less powerful Plantlings are immune. The stronger the Plantling, the more likely they are to exhibit symptoms of Downsides. Downsides that commonly manifest in Plantlings are mostly physical, like headaches, stomachaches, and diarrhea, but both short- and long-term amnesia appear.

Manifestation

Plantity manifests more subtly than other powers, although it depends on the situation and the Plantling. Plants will slowly begin to shift, and then growing or changing will take place, occasionally quite quickly. However, most uses of Plantity are less dramatic and are usually the Plantling simply running a hand over a leaf or touching a tree, with abrasions on any plants they heal slowly fading away.

Discovery

The...the vines...they were...they were moving. And she...and she was moving them. Her...her hands. Her fingers. She...she was moving them. It was...it was her. She did this.
— A witness to an early reported Plantling attack
Plantling was discovered sometime around 680 BEA near Hastel and Chraklat in Bazilia. It has remained a common ability there, with numerous houses holding the power.

Applied Restrictions

Like most Gifted abilities, Plantity is barely restricted in most countries aside from the usual required training. However, because of its usefulness and relatively low danger, Plantlings are allowed less training than other Gifteds, along with a longer time between manifestation and training.

Artificial Flora

With the amazing control over plants that is shown by Plantlings, it comes as no large surprise that many plant species have been created by Gifted tampering. Through a combination of different plants, the Plantling is able to create an entirely new tree, flower, or bush. These plants are common in areas with a long history of Plantling existence and can have various uses.   Due to common beliefs about these unnatural plants, many regard them as dangerous or poisonous, and the creation of new plant species is prohibited in many countries around the world.

It's really fun that new plant species have been created through the use of the power. I bet there are some fantastical plants that have come from that.

Yeah, definitely. But also some really awful ones. It's understandable why many countries prohibit the creation of new plants similar to the restrictions on Animing. Sadly, that also prevents many Plantlings from reaching their full potential. Anyway, thanks! I'm currently doing a lot of stuff at home, so I might not put anything else out very soon.
