Historical Details

Background

This stela appears to be a headstone for a beloved pet, Kibhana. It is unknown precisely when this headstone was created but it was found territory that once belonged to the Mossix Empire and is speculated to have been created sometime around 5865 BBA, near the time of the Haestone Massacre. Kibhana is thought by most to be a dog, but cats are generally thought to have been more popular in the region at that the estimated time. The headstone also does not clearly describe Kibhana.

History

Few records exist from the Old World period, so any written message provides a precious, rare look into the lives of the ancient Mortals of Jeharr, living in a world created by the Gods.

My Dearest Kibhana,
My father says to me that I will see thousands like you come and go,
But I think that he is wrong.
If I could trade my long-livedness for another day with you, I would.
I remember the day that I brought you home,
How small you were on that day 15 years ago,
Your little feet would go on to carry you all over my home.
As my father and his father before him and his father before him prepare for war,
You did not care for fighting, only for me.
I may meet more pets like you Kibhana,
But never another friend like you.
