Devils

Devils are a type of Fiend. Devils differ from other fiends in the fact that they need to be made by other Devils. New Devils come into being only when other Devils capture, torture, transmute and refine Mortal souls with the specific intention of creating new Devils. Generally this is a time and resource intensive process and as a result there are less Devils than Demons in existence. However, the average Devil tends to be very powerful and extremely cunning. Devils accrue more power when creating more Devils as well, as a result, in spite of their selfish desire for self advancement, their numbers grow.
This process of creating Devils is also quite dangerous, as a misstep in the process of torturing, dismantling and subjugation of of the Mortal souls can result in the destruction of the Devil. The byproduct of this failure is the creation of a Pure-Blood.
