Chandrian

Chandrians are the people of the Free State of Chandria. Chandria is located in the central southern portion of Tukarsh. The Chandrian people feel an affinity for the people of the neighboring state, the Ackramorians of the Ackramorian Empire due to their shared history.
Chandria seceded from the Ackramorian Empire during The Collapse Period, as did most of the rest of Tukarsh. Relations were strained between Ackramorians and Chandrians for a time but quickly recovered in the following decades thanks to the fairly bloodless secession and the fact that the Ackramorian Empire has relied on Chandrian traders and goods in a world otherwise full of enemies.
Chandria neighbors the Kingdom of Titanshatter and Kingdom of Stonecrest to the northwest and southeast respectively where it sits in an ideal position to control trade all across southern Tukarsh. Chandria has grown wealthy thanks to it's central location and neutral to friendly relations with its neighbors, but positive relations with Ackramorians has cost the Chandrian people in their relations with the Crestian of Stonecrest and the Stoneborn of Titanshatter.
The Chandrian people live in a landlocked area and rely heavily on trade routes over ancient Ackramorian roads and waterways. Chandrians are traders and artisans and have grown wealthy in the years following The Collapse.
Chandria is the epitome of culture and high society and often hosts powerful guests from across the world and Chandrians know it.
