To most people of Jaytown, The Masquerade Mansion is just a pretentious household of some nobility that managed to get Jay to host a regular invite-only elitist ball for the wealthy and nobility of Jaytown. To the Masquerade agents, the building is their headquarters, an intelligence effort which seeks to control the careful balance of powers on Jaytown from behind the scenes by controlling information. The most important thing to a Masquerade agent is to preserve their identity. If it is ever revealed, they will be disavowed….or worse. The Masquerade deals primarily in reconnaissance, sabotage, infiltration, artefact retrieval, intelligence retrieval, information processing and decryption.The people of Jaytown are the most powerful force ever seen in the New or Old World, and The Masquerade seeks to puppeteer those people to achieve their own goals from behind the scenes.
