Shanairra Liadon
My Scion,
I must tell you of one you may see within your new lands of operation--a fallen paladin of the Watchers, Shanairra Liadon. She came to Jaytown as a young, eager protector against the invasions of extraplanar entities. At first, she had bright anticipation of adventure and was ready to be a strong bulwark against the weak. She was quick to jump into any battle against evil. In her early days, she proved this by crushing an Orcus cult's ritual summoning. She helped clear the land from evil. But as these stories typically do, her journey took a turn into darkness. This is where her fall from grace begins. She became friends with stout warriors and faithful clerics. Yet, unbeknownst to her, these same friends who were her closest confidantes were also revealed to be scions of the Demon Lords Baphomet and Yeenoghu. Led down a path of darkness, she mercilessly slaughtered children she believed to be demons. In the name of helping her friends, she fell into dark and twisted paths that led to her soul being lost to Yeenoghu in a baseless contract. She destroyed innocent beasts, people, and even celestials. The sorrow I felt seeing her crimes was immeasurable. She has stripped our defenses from invading gnolls and armies of evil. She has killed a guardian angel. Fully lost to us, I was forced to cast her out and mark her as Oathbreaker. Her soul now burns with vengence against the heavens and the pain of her broken oath is heavy upon her shoulders. There may still be hope for her redemption, fleeting chances of goodness amongst her dark crimes. The love of beasts and her loyalty to her companions may still lead her to being saved. She did show devotion to standing strong in the face of the horrors of the Minotaur Fighting Pits. If there is anyone that can bring her to redemption, it is you, my Scion. You may help her break these bonds from Yeenoghu and rediscover her honor and grace. Perhaps she may once more walk with the power of her oath guiding her. Time will tell.
