Discovered by a party led by Sion, Bastard's Bayou is a vast swamp covering hundreds of miles on the southern coast of Pangea. Sparsely populated except on the edges, only experienced trackers can navigate its treacherous centre with any confidence.
The most significant recent events were sparked when Gregoria and Melody interrupted a conflict between a warlock and a tribe of bullywugs who had recently moved into the area. They slew the warlock which led to the forging of a loose alliance between Jaytown and the bullywugs of Doccleton. But it also drew the ire of the warlock's master...
Over the next few months, the Jaytowners aided the bullywug leader, High Lord Doccle, as he pursued domination of the swamp. They subdued rival bullywug tribes, thwarted an invasion of golems sent by the warlock's master, and destroyed several villages of grung occupying a flooded forest in the south of the swamp named the Igapo.
Events reached a head when the grung invaded bullywug territory in retaliation. Although a party of Jaytowners attempted to prevent violence, they were unable to stop the conflict known as The Battle of Moist Armies. The Jaytowners sided with the bullywugs but the fight was disrupted when the warlock's master appeared above the battlefield. Despite the Jaytowner's efforts to prevent him, he seized High Lord Doccle and performed a dark ritual transforming him into a hideous frog-dragon. The frog-dragon destroyed the grung army but then turned on the Jaytowners before escaping. It has since been spotted at large in the depths of the swamp.

Story Hooks

• High Lord Doccle, the Frog Dragon: Phazeer killed the warlock controlling the dragon that once was High Lord Doccle. He befriended the beast, ending its reign of terror on the inhabitants of the swamp.
