{1,-1} Lost Woods

Lore Summary:

The lost woods is an eerie forest with a thick canopy resulting in a very dark, almosted haunted experience. It could easily be the location of every haunted woods in every fairy tale ever. Full of undead including vampires, it is used as a place for profane rituals by hags, blood sacrifices from dark druids and even a great green dragon. Formerly ruled by Esmerald who enslaved the local treants, the area is recovering slowly after Esmerald's defeat and banishment to a small grove by Jaytown heros. Throughout the woods there are numerous portals maintained by local drow to extra-planar locations including the mysterious "Hyrule" and "New York City." The evil magicks that infected the woods for so long has created some benefits as well, very rare spell components such as crystals can be found.

Story Hooks:

• Planar Portals: The DrowPortals lead to numerous off-world locations. Who knows what is out there. (DM-none)

• Emerald: The former leader of the area is banished to a small grove where she appears content but that could change and she could try to regain control of the wood’s magic.

• Victims Die Lonely: A Vampire who murdered three Jaytown residents and nearly turned a girl into a spawn is still out there. She seems capable of necromancy. (DM Brad)

• Curses: Andras and his allies secured a shipment of cursed gems. After being released from the curse a guard said an unknown figure paid them to deliver the gems to the artisan collective.
