A young scholar of Silvae was in his quarters in a Lihirian Library, and just woke up, early. It was the 7th of Norcry and the year was 4082. He looked outside, and something very odd was occurring. The nearby Great Gates - a mysterious structure that has been on this world before Humans were created - was open. Inside - a wonder beyond imagination. He had to go inside.   He never came back.

- a Lihirian legend of how the Opening was first discovered.   On the 7th of Norcry, 4082, the Gates were flung open, all over the multiverse, and could be used to be transported to another world. Races met each other, traded, warred. They eventually learned how to communicate and cooperate together. In hours, cities became metropolises teeming with life, and uninhabited worlds were mined and used. This would change the multiverse forever.   In Lihiri, brave explorers traversed the worlds, led by Benethir SIlverhill and these are seen as heroes, pioneers of the modern world. Their tale is still read today in Benethir's Journal.
