The Southfordge Settlement

Demographics

The population of this settlement is mostly Zrard peoples. This is an orcish culture that is native to this part of Ivryia. There are other races, including: humans, elves, and goblinoids that desire living far away from more civilized areas.

Defences

There are little to no defenses for the trade post, outside of the weapons that each resident and traveller brings along with them. The residents require some form of protection from roudy adventurers, wild animals, or the very rare raid by an outside group.

Industry & Trade

Provisions for travellers to aid in the continuation of their journies away from the settlement.

Infrastructure

It is on the edges of the mountianous areas of the Southfordge Mountain range. The buildings are mostly made of stone and timber, with large chimneys on each house and building.

Districts

There is a small marketplace in the center of the trade post, with an inn to accomodate the travellers coming through the settlement. Otherwise, there are a few store fronts outside of the center of the settlement.

Assets

There is an inn to accomodate the travellers coming through the settlement, the food is... okay. There is a butcher's shop a few yards away from the center of the settlement, where travellers can purchase dried and cured meats, as well as other rations to aid in their journey away from the trade post.

History

The Southfordge Settlement was founded by some of the nomadic members of the Zrard culture settling down at the foothills of the Southfordge Mountains at some point. Eventually, travellers would stop by for food or shelter, bringing outside goods and trade into the community, encouraging the residents to build an inn for others to stay in (and not their homes).

Points of interest

There is the inn for travellers and adventurers. As well as the marketplace, and other shops within the town.

Climate

It is rather cold year round as it is at the base of the Southfordge Mountains.
