Execution

The matchmaking ceremony takes place on the first full moon of each month, and the eligble candidates are selected by the religious leader to participate that month.
First, the groom must pilgramage to Lostplain, the capital of the Bishophric of Shroutumn, and live there for 2 years preparing for marriage in a physical, mental, and religious sense. Similarily, the bride must fufill certain requirements in order to be considered ready for marriage. They first must grow out their hair to 26 inches long.
After the wedding, during the first three months of their marriage, the bride must create and present her husband with a beaded bracelet (and a matching necklace for herself), created with a mix of her freshly cut hair - which is shorn the night of the wedding; strips of both of their traditional wedding attire. The beads are constructed from mementos of their wedding, stones from the venue, fragments of plates or bottles, and wood scraps from the construction of their home and/or marital bed. The groom, on the other hand, must construct a home for the couple and/or a marital bed out of wood from a tree that he cut down the day of the wedding.

Participants

The key participants in this ceremony are the bride, groom, their familes, and a religious member of power within the church, whether that be a priest or even the Bishop themselves. The officiant of the church will play the role as the matchmaker and as the overseer of the marriage ceremony itself, to ensure that it is following the strict guidelines set by the church. The family of the groom act as officiants during the ceremony itself. Outside of the family of the groom, there must at least four witnesses that are regarded as close friends of the bride. These friends will spend time with the bride during the week prior to the ceremony itself.

Observance

Premarital Sex is forbidden, between anyone - especially the engaged couple, engaging in it lessens status for marriage, and is viewed as a religious crime under the Bishophoric.
