Xolethar
Mualdir, first of the gods, arrived in the astral plane, he saw endless regions of pure thought. Using his immense power, he shaped this into elemental chaos, creating being from unbeing and forging a single plane of pure chaos. Unbeknownst even to the time lord himself, a creature was formed at the very apex of his creation. Forged of primal energies, a being of organized chaos came. This was the formation of the one who would become known as Xolethar, the primordial king. He is a creature of pure elemental magic converged, carrying the purest essence of arcane magic in the multiverse. No being comes closer than him to matching the makeup of the bluestream. Even as the chaos of the elemental planes separated and reacted with each other, Xolethar maintained singular form. An entity of greed and lust, Xolethar carries a searing hatred for Mualdir and his children that would call themselves gods. Xolethar is no eternal, he is the incarnation of the elemental planes. They answer to him because they are a part of him. In a most basic sense, Xolethars expanded essence and strength incorporates the entirety of the elemental planes into his being. This gives him enormous power, rivaling that of Cerathor or Asmodeus but by design of Mualdir, the elemental planes are bound separate from the material plane. Forced to solitude, Xolethar resided alone until the events of the infusion. He felt his own magic drawn upon by the power channeled on the material plane. Unwilling to give up part of himself in a ritual that drawing so much power, he hurled the magic being gathered from him to collide with elemental chaos. This gave rise to many creatures of raw magic, the mortals call them elementals but he knows them as his first children. Hoping to raise an army big enough for a rebellion against the eternals, Xolethar seduced many a mortal into his domain to be later corrupted into a creature of elemental design, a creature under his command. When the gods did war amongst themselves, he seized a group of fleeing elves and shifted them over to his domain. This move net him an entire race to bow down to him, but also opened up his existence to the eyes of the gods. Sensing his latent power, they kept their distance, knowing that he was bound helpless by Mualdir in his own domain. Xolethar ruled among his people, raising cities among his realms and residing as a looming power to keep mortal ambitions in check. He manifests in an avatar on the throne of the city of brass, keeping his people in check and channeling their efforts towards war. This stagnated for 2000 years until the sundering of the world and the perpendicularity thrust between the planes. This perpendicularity cut off bits of his very essence and scattered them throughout the realms. These pieces made their way too Cerathor, newly imprisoned with no way of contacting the outside world. He was the only creature in all of existence with the ability to consume power like that, and he intended to use this ability. The essence gave him power and he gathered what he had been given, storing it away as he watched the world go on without him. But the wounding of Xolethar had been very thorough, more pieces of his essence fell away over the years. Using the power he had gotten from the first pieces, Cerathor was able to funnel the elemental magic that drizzled away to himself, allowing him to build up power and create warlocks among mortals. Both alliance and betrayer are looking for a way to seal the wound, not knowing the true power of the primordial king, while Cerathor plots to free himself and consume the whole of Xolethar to become greater than any god. All the while, Xolethar rallies his forces, seeking out sources of power to try and bolster himself so that he can heal and take down the gods.
