Tomb of the Emperors
When Kas was slain by agents of the Prince of Frost, his empire fell deeply into mourning. They came together and sought to honor him as a god. Thus they decided to seal his body away beneath the earth with enough earthly possessions for him to be an emperor in death as in life. The greatest mages in the empire carved a massive cave out of stone for the masons of the empire to shape into an honor for the Emperor and his descendants. The tomb was constucted with the intent to house emperors for millenia to come, but none were given the honors of Kas. His coffin was sealed in a massive dome like chamber of stone, which would serve also as the eternal resting spot of Morphos, his draconic companion. Four pylons were constructed to maintaint he sanctity of this chamber, each bearing a scale of an elder dragon. These pylons keep Morphos alive and prevent the chamber from decaying from the initial state of burial. When the tomb was completed, the masons, the shamans and the emperors own guard were sealed inside to serve as the final requiem for the Kas. They had all of them in some way failed their emperor, they must have or he would not have died, and were forced to spend the rest of their lives in starvation, contemplating their failure. The lingering elder magic of Morphos carried their oath past death, and thus their souls remain as wraiths guarding the final resting place of the emperor. Protecting in death what they could not protect in life. Among these was the dragon Soldrass of the Endless Inferno who was commander of the dragon detachment Kas took with him to the feywild, and the sole one to make it out alive.
