The White Riders of Arcadia
Arcadia is a strange government in many ways. It has remarkably little control over its subjects, relying mostly on the overwhelming power of Titania, Oberon and their children to enforce their will in the feywild. But many fey reject the courts of Arcadia, and some of these fey can be rather dangerous. This is the purpose of the White Riders. To hunt down rogue fey and kill them or drive them from Arcadian territory. They essentially act as a sort of elite police force sworn to Titania. They are Eladrin, Satyrs, and Centaurs trained to be deadly fighters and powerful sorcerers. They ride fey horses, goats, and elk (or nothing in the case of the centuars), calling up mist beneath their charges.
The White Riders are all warrior fey who are often more than a hundred years old and have devoted their lives to combat. They ride about the feywild, hunting down dark fey who have strayed within the borders of the courts or making expeditions into the feydark where they launch raids against the Unseelie. They have sworn oaths of servitude to Titania, viewing themselves as knights in her service. There are about a thousand of them in total, working in teams of about ten for their smaller hunts but coming together if necessary larger engagements.
The Leader of the White Riders is Kagrald, a powerful centaur Archfey who has devoted his life to slaying dark fey. It is said that his glaive has felled thousands of Unseelie personally and he went toe to toe with the Queen of Air and Darkness during the winter war.
