The Stellar Matron

Firstborn of archangels, the matron was among the first to look upon the face of Mualdir, the Elder God. She was created with the sole purpose of protecting and raising his children, primarily that the eldest among them, being Asmodeus, Tildor, and Mordes. After those three came the other archangels and the Matron was the one who showed them the world, teaching them as Mualdir taught her. This all took place over the course of centuries, as things were wont to do at the beginning of time. And when the last of the gods were finally into adulthood and able to fend for themselves, Mualdir offered her a quiet retirement and she obliged. She retreated to the feywild where she took up residence in a small cottage near the tree of witness. There, she possessed a quiet friendship with the Gardner and joined him in his task of defending the tree against the influence of the Beast of Oblivion. She lived this way for centuries, accumulating a small number of followers. They were led by Oria, an orphaned Satyr raised from birth by the Matron. In this child, she invested a fair amount of divine powers as she loved her so and feared for the wellbeing of such a weak creature as this. They would live together for many years, until the time of the great scourge. When Elves fled to the feywild, they began worshipping wandering fey entities as gods and kings. The matron saw how this contradicted the dictation of Mualdir and the alliance and thus poke out against it. She was a quiet critic, sure in her power and fearless in her words. This attracted the ire of Titania, who struck a deal with Maruvir, the monarch of the hunt in order to deal with this problem. Even together, they were no match for the might of such a powerful archangel, and thus they resorted to the element of surprise. They struck the matron with a ritual of powerful magic, although it was insufficient to kill her, it succeeded in sealing her away in amber, which Titania then locked away in the darkest vaults of Arcadia.
The matron is a warm and loving creature, disdaining the use of violence alltogether if possible. Being the firstborn of Mualdir, she was able to wield his cosmic power. She saw deep into potential fates and was even able to weaponize it, though she shied away from such power. Now, she suffers deep within the depths of Arcadias darkest dungeon because of it.
