The Ceres Darkvale

The Ceres Darkvale is a section of thick coniferous forest in the center of the Ceres Woods. It is home to a great many beasts and dangerous creatures. A perpetual dark fog hangs over the forest, a result of a bit of lingering magic. This is because the woods are the remnants of an old battlefield, where Jaxl, first emperor of the Ancient Empire, did battle with the Yuan Ti that once lived in these woods. During this battle, his great shadow drake steed was slain, crashing into the remains of an ancient temple. The immense pressure of this dragon, who was one of the original ancients, cast a fog over this part of the forest. It is home to a great many beasts and other monsters.
