Echris

Sworn lance of Olmaath, Echris was once a mortal paladin sworn to Dheor. During the Sundering of the World, he fought against the legions of Asmodeus as they invaded Brenaurus. He was a legendary warrior on the field of battle, and is credited with the slaying of major fiends like ice devils and horned devils. His notoriety was such that he attracted the attention of Olmaath, who sought his service. The Infernal Chimerus sent his agents to destroy all of Echris' life. They slew his family and his brothers with hellfire, binding their souls to the nine hells. When Echris reached out in search of aid, he found not his god but Olmaath instead, who promised to return the souls of his family in return for his own when he died. Being an honorable man, Echris accepted these terms, only to be met with a poisoned dagger plunged into his heart moments later as the Orthon hired by Olmaath completed its job. From this moment onwards, Echris was bound in service to Olmaath and forced to do his bidding as a Knight of Dis. Echris has been sent to infiltrate the soldiers of Dispater multiple times and is not known to be bound to Olmaath, though there are many who suspect. Though he seeks to be free of his bondage, his chains to Olmaath hold fast and his heart is ever twisted by the influence of the hells. This has turned him into a Narzugon, full of rage and tasked to capture Uruk and obtain whatever power it is that they have been building. He wields hellfire, which was stolen by Deya from the vaults of Dispater.
