Cereth Drugrar

The capital of the Kingdom of Drugrar, Cereth Drugrar is the settled home of the Drugrari people after they fled the Clouded Spine and their mountain keeps. It is the home of the high king as well as the center of government for the entire kingdom. As such, it is also the largest city in the Drugrari Kingdom as well as the second largest city west of the Clouded Spine. It is a city of great craftmanship, containing some of the most skilled artisans on the entire continent. In this city, the greatest honor is to create something beautiful. The city itself is walled, divided into different holds. These holds are districts for the purposes of governance within the city. These holds are divided by great walls of stone, among the only things in the city which are not built of wood. It is a fortress city, as the Drugrari that built it were still terrified about losing their home. Despite the architecture being so predominantly built of wood, there is a clerical spell cast over the entire city, sustained by idols strategically positioned around the city, that keeps the city safe from fire.

Demographics

The city is about 92% Drugrari with the rest of the population made up of various races from other parts of Jezat.

Government

The city is run entirely by the High King and his administrators as it is the capital of his administration. As such, there is also a large amount of input from the Assembly of Clans as this is its primary meeting spot.

Defences

The city itself has a great many walls as well as a garrison of some 2500 men dedicated to its defense.

Districts

The districts of Cereth Drugrar are known as holds and they are separated by stone walls, somewhat smaller than the main 30 feet walls of the city.
The Oaken Sprawls: Less of a hold as the sprawling expanse of homes and neighborhoods that expands beyond the walls of Cereth Drugrar. While initially few wanted to live beyond the safer bounds of the city, that changed once the Ceres woods became generally safer. Typically underrepresented in the government compared to the rest of the city. While the people who live here are typically the poorest of the city and there are quite a few. About 20% of the population lives here, usually doing manual labor and other less desirable jobs.

The Hunter's Hold: A small hold located to the southeast of the city. The hunter's hold is not just the center of hunters and the like but other woodsmen and those who make their living venturing out into the Ceres Woods. As such there is a lot of lumberwork here as well as tanning and other hunting businesses.
The Central Residences: The large section of the city (maybe 60% of the walled area) that is primarily residential and extends throughout the entire city that is not part of some other hold. The majority of the population have their homes here even if they work elsewhere. 70% of the population live here.

The Steelguard Hold: The central section of the city, home to both the administration as well as the military district of the city. As the Drugrari were worried about attack, they concentrated their military around the Second Citadel, home to the high King. It is the only hold with walls larger than the main city walls, being 50 feet high. The hold is heavily guarded with none allowed entrance unless they have a good reason/permission. It also home to some of the houses of the higher nobility
The Market Hold: A rather large hold located in the southwest of the city which is home to the main commercial area of the city. None of the buildings here are for purely residential purposes although some of the inhabitants live here in their shops. It is here that much of the great creations of the city are sold but also that goods from elsewhere in the kingdom are sold as well.
The Seaside hold: A hold located to the west of the city, jutting up against the river Ceres, which in turn flows into Wyrm's Bay. This hold is mostly just infrastructure to support the seaside trading practiced by the city as well as defend against potential naval assaults.
The Fabricant Hold: A hold to the northeast of the city which is the main industrial area of the city. This is where materials are refined and a great many craftsmen work. There are some who work within the Market hold, but most prefer to dedicate their time to their craft and sell their wares to the market directly. It is one of the largest areas of employment within the city.
The Erudite Hold: A small hold in the eastern city home to researchers and academics. It is home to the Blackpine University, which is the largest and most decorated university within the entire Drugrari Kingdom.
