Arakk Blackjaw
Lord of house Blackjaw and vampire in service to Kannoth, Arakk is one of the keepers of the planar anchors on the mortal plane. As a young man, he was obsessed with immortality. Greatly fearing death, he sought out any means necessary to ensure an end to his mortality. Through this, he dabbled in necromancy, though he was never more than a initiate in this field. In his pursuit of this dark path, he came upon the underground dark mages of Cereth Drugrar. Possessing great means himself, he was able to buy himself a spot in this group by the funds he was able to provide them. And while these mages were unable to rectify his subpar mental accuity, they did introduce him to the worship of their deities of Dark Magic. Antoine the Terrible, Vecna the Undying, and Kannoth the Knight of Shadows. Kannoth in particular called out to him, being not a mage himself. Arakk soon dedicated himself to Kannoth, using his cabal of dark mages to perform numerous dark rituals in worship of the knight. Eventually, his offerings sufficed to attract the attention of the Dark Archfey, who sought mortal servants for the working of the Queen of Air and Darkness. Arakk didn't hesitate, swearing his eternal service in exchange for eternal life. Kannoth then bestowed upon him the curse of Vampirism, transforming Arakk into a monster, but an undying one.
Now, Arakk leads a cabal of dark mages in the service of the Queen of Air and Darkness. He keeps up appearances as much as possible, though he rarely ventures out of his manor for fear of sunlight. His ultimate dedication is to himself, and his fear of death. He will not hesitate to flee if things go badly, and has absolutely no limits on what he will do to win and stay alive. He has spread his curse of vampirism to his entire family, who now reside within catacombs beneath his home. His manor is now mostly abandoned, solely to keep up appearances to the outside world and to host parties in.
Arakk blackjaw is tall for a dwarf, about 5'1. He has pale skin due to his vampirism and messy ginger hair. His eyes glow red in the dark and he prefers to wield a sword though he does know some dark magic.
