The Genny Belle
The Genny Belle is a 150-ft sternwheeler paddleboat that is employed as a passenger and cargo vessel up and down the Paradon River in southern and central Melas.
Her master is Jimon Fowler , whose family has owned the ship and business for more than one hundred years.
The Ginny Belle was constructed by "Admiral" Jonah Fowler, Jimon's grandfather, and is the only riverboat currently in operation on the Paradon in Southern Melas.
Power Generation
- Two Steam Mephits (Phyllis and Earl), a male and female mated pair, constantly feuding and angry with each other gives off steam that powers the paddlewheels. The madder (or more passionate) they get, the faster the ship can go.

- Special Attack (6 turns recharge): Steam Breath - 15’ scalding steam cone 1d8 damage. Save vs DEX DC 10 for half.

- Death Burst: When dying, explode in a cloud of steam, all within 5’ take 1d8 fire damage. Save vs DEX DC 10 for half.
- Innate Spell: Blur 1/day (Ch)
- S 5, D 11, C 10, I 11, W 10, Ch 12
- Together produce app. 2000 mp (mephitpower, app. 1200 horsepower) in the steam engines to crank the pistons and turn the wheel
- The two Mephits are basically civil to the crew and passengers, though they keep to themselves in the boiler room.
- They have a tiny bit of information about the other-planer conflict:
- Both the Elemental Planes of Fire and Water (their domains) spit them out years ago and they have been unable to reestablish contact with their families for years.
- They know there are other elementals like them on this plane and on this continent, though they haven’t seen any lately. The ones they have seen, however, are bad news.
- Jimon Fowler, captain of the sternwheeler, took them in when they were lost and injured and gave them purpose. They are very loyal and devoted to the captain, the ship and the crew but would go home in an instant to their people if they had the opportunity.
- REALITY - The Elemental Overlords closed access to the Elemental Planes from this land to keep the Triad Pantheon from escaping and to force their servants to do their bidding here before they could return.
