Wardens of The Black Path

Structure

The Wardens have a very loose organizational structure regarding hierarchy and titles. The choices made by the wardens are often done by vote, whether the vote require majority or unamious agreement/disagreement depends entirely on the situation and what the memebers decide upon. That is not to say the Wardens of The Black Path do not have areas of expertise that they focus on; like how Legacy is the party's go to expert on the arcane.

Culture

Outward Culture

The Wardens will go out of thier way to aid the people of Hollow Oak, even if it puts thier lives at significant risk and they gain little. In Hollow Oak, they are very nice and helpful to the people of their home region. They organize community events, pay for rounds upon rounds of drink, and build and support instiutions or business that benefit their community. More generally they practice kindness, and mild heroics, but are hesitant to incur longterm risks and commitment to others problems, not without fair compensation at least, as they are primilarrly a party who adventures for coin. However they have been known to help those at risk of being enslaved, or currently enslaved by slavers, hostile or not. There are many stories of slave masters and their famlies being killed by Wardens while traveling along the road.

Religious Faith & Practices

The Wardens are buy and large not particularrly relgious people, but they do have common faiths. All Wardens, say for Cicero Liao, who is not known to worship any gods, worship the gods of the Orufenzu pantheon. Although the only one to attend relgious counsol regualrly is Anastasia Aleeva, who even seeks guidance from the priests of The Orufenzu late in the afternoon. They are are also known to worship Kavaki, The Ram Lord, a god traditionally worshiped only by their patron race, Goliaths. Once a week the Amore shows worship to the Ram Lord by challenging the memebers of the party to a wrestling compititon within their large Town Home. The sounds of thier wrestling can be heard by neighbors around, and it is also rumored that Legacy uses magic to enhance the event.

Interpersonal Culture

The Wardens love a good prank, or joke, and will tease each other relentsly about topics which aren't too heavy or filled with trauma. They buy gifts for each other, recount tales, and give a shoulder to lean on during tough times. It is said by outside observers that they look like more of a family than a group of adventurers working to make it big. There are even rumors amongst the gossiping wives of Hollow Oak that some of the Wardens maybe romatically envolved with one another.

Merriment and Fun

The Wardens of the Black Path have most all of thier fun at The Waystation while in Hollow Oak, and other taverns and bars when outside of Hollow Oak. They enjoy games of drinking, darts, and various forms of gambling, which is unregulated in Hollow Oak. They hate super fancy and expesnive taverns, like the Rose Gold in Hollow Oak. It is a very important ritual that important events and milestones are celebrated at the Waystation and the Waystation only. If the Wardens are outside of Hollow Oak for a birthday for example they will wait until they return to the Waystation to celebrate. Many people will leave thier homes when they catch word that the Wardens are in the Waystation. The Wardens are also known to enjoy educating people and more dangerous or untrust worthy races, like Goblins.

Political Beliefs

Political Ideology

The Wardens do not particurally favor any political ideology over another, however they don't condone the unjust suffering of others under any ideology or government.

Anti-Racist

The Wardens are anti-racist, meaning they not only try to be open minded when it comes to the various races and ethnicites of the world, they actively oppose and attempt to edcuate those around them about sterotypes, misconceptions, and simple outright bigotry to various levels of success.

Anti-Slavery

The Wardens are anti-slavery, which means they not only disagree with slavery, they also actively oppose and fight it. They refuse to work with organizations that support slavery, and have been rumored to be outright hostile to these groups even when unprovoked. Although in Amore's eyes, "The act of slavery is a provocation itself." They have gone on a Crusade against slavery, battling against slaver forces in the Red Wyne Forest. Even those unwittingly working for ex-slavers, or people affliated with slavers have been known to be tortured, executed, or have body parts or symbolage taken as trophies to be displayed.

Tough on Crime

The Wardens have been known to be brutally tough on crime, particuarlly in the city of Eastrin, where they have either been hired by The Viscount or taken up to personally combating the crime famlies of the city. Tax-evaders, smugglers, thieves all recieve death, dismemberment, or permanant disibility when confronted by the dangerous and well equiped Wardens of The Black Path.
