Nolosha, The Orphan of Life
The Orphan of Life
Nolosha is one of the 8 Orphans of the Orufenzu Pantheon, which is the most prominent pantheon of worship within The Five Kingdoms. They are the third oldest sibling and represent life energy. He stands as one of the tallest gods in the pantheon, right behind Dagaal in height, and is usually depicted with soft earthy brown hair, warm vibrant skin, and piercing green eyes. What they are wearing changes from location to location. Sometimes Nolosha is dressed in regal clothes, pleasant white robes, or even the uniforms of doctors and surgeons. The Orphan of Life is said to be very loving and caring for all mortals, and despises fiends and undead creatures to an almost psychopathic degree. This hatred is reflected in their angels, who appear as humanoids with powerful feathered wings. Who can sometimes be summoned to battle demons and evils that manage to find a way onto the mortal plane. Nolosha was the second to forge their holy stigmata, and some say they were more eager to avenge the death of their parents than their sister Dagaal, The Orphan of War. Their holy symbol is that of a swirling circle of energy with many arrows pointing away from it. Nolosha is most often prayed to for longevity, curing wounds, or protection on long dangerous journeys. Those who follow Nolosha devoutly often teach the protection of all mortal life, advocate for charity, and speaking against murder and war. They also often fight against undead creatures who are seen as a perversion of life. In such many distrust those who are devout to Dhimashino, The Orphan of death. Though this distrust is also replicated in myth and legend, as many say that Nolosha has a deep hatred of their sibling Dhimashino, which is said to rival and even surpass their hatred of Ibliis, who killed their parents.Relationships
History
Nolosha comforted Aqoon and Khyanndi after they lost Mother and Father. While the other siblings dived head-first into war these three tried to keep their family together. As such they think of and value each other highly.
Nature Deity?
Sometimes farmers will pray to Nolosha as a nature deity, but some religious scholars bring forth information that Nolosha was not very fond of nature. Some say that he favored mortal life to such an extent that he believed that it should be master of nature, and take from the land as they wished so long as it does not lead to their death. Despite what the religious scholars believed some farming communities still pray to Nolosha as a nature deity, and sometimes their farms are blessed. Whether or not this is some other deity interfering or Nolosha actually blessing the fields is unknown.
