Early Life and Mercenary Career
Nolachin was the result of a horrible encounter between his Black Dog Mercernay mom and village carpenter father. After Nolachin was born he was dumped onto his fathers porch who developed a distant relationship with Nolachin. Soon his father married and had other children and Nolachin felt even more distant. He was bullied and ostrachised for his circumstances of birth and heritage as a Degnorite man. The only identity he was allowed to have was that of a Degnorite, so eventually he packed his bags and traveled to the Fortress of The Immortal and was tested for his connection to the Degnorite Empire. He was admitted as a low-level mercenary and soon made his way up to Mutt due to his brutality and willingness to step on his fellows for advancement. With his newfound status, he purchased "humanoid debris" orphan children who were sold as property to those with enough coins or spears. The children began to perform most of the dangerous jobs he was given by The Black Dog Mercenaries, allowing him to increase his profits without personal risk. Soon after slave raiding a Goliath tribe he received a mission to capture an individual with psychic powers for a large sum. It was during this battle that Nolachin would meet his fate, shot in the head by Warden Cicero Liao. However even as his body lay dead the evil in his soul still festered.Early Life as a Ghast
With a soul as evil as Nolachin it was almost destiny that he would reject death to continue his plight upon the material world of Iskudar. Like the legends say, Nolachin rose from the dead with undead energies coursing through his veins, reanimated as a Ghast due to his strength and the pure evil that resonated in his heart. He interpreted this ressurection as the "Immortal Phenomme" where people with Degnorite Blood can somehow fight on despite suffering mortal wounds. Because of the mind alteration of Ghoulification Nolachin believed that he was brought back to life personally by The Immortal. As his urge for flesh, desire to kill, and need to make more ghouls began to grow he interpreted his actions as building a new mercenary group to eventually finish his mission and capture Anastasia. The Ghoul Psychosis blinded his mind from comprehending the pure barbarism of hunting humanoids and consuming their flesh, with those who survived the attacks or weren't consumed coming back as his loyal ghoul servants due to his power as a Ghast. Eventually, the The Black Fang Gnolls would arrive, and feeling a natural connection to their savage ways of consumption he fell in line under a zealot Fang of Yeenoghu.The Hunters of Hollow Oak
The Fang of Yeenoghu Ethak saw Nolachin and his ghouls as a gift from Yeenoghu to aid them in the rebuilding of the Black Fang and the eventual planned summoning of Yeenoghu to the material plane. Using the Ghoul Psychosis to her advantage Ethak has manipulated Nolachin into believing that the Gnoll are agents of The Immortal sent to help him capture Anastasia Aleeva. With these honeyed words Ethak earned the service of The Hollow Oak Ghouls, and now Nolachin and his forces serve Ethak in rituals, fighting pits, and growing the numbers of The Black Fang.
