The Tru Walker

The Tru Walker is by far the most experienced monster hunter in The Winter Lands. While the other lands find monster attacks increasingly powerful with the return of the Hags the clan of The Frostwalker clan has no such problems. The Title of Tru Walker has been a part the Frostwalker clan for centuries it is however not util now that the clan leader of the Forstwalker clan is also the Tru Walker.
Their have been many holders of the Tru Walker title the more famous include Vesimir, Garth, Loredana, and Geralt Rime Frost (allegedly). Before the fall of Witherburn the Frostwalkers protected the city and its sourondig area from monster but after the fall of Witherburn in the demonic invasion the Frostwalkers now keep the monsters contained in the area. The most famous stories that the Frostwalkers tell of are the four Tru Walker wich names are mentioned above. Though scholar think that Geralt could not have been the first Tru Walker for he disappeared after he fought the Wild Hunt or so the original myth claims.
Alwin Steelgazer He was not the heir to the Frostwalker clan originally for he was their third son and so he became a Frostwalker. Surviving the arcane rituals to make him a true Frostwalker he quickly gruw in renowned and he lead his first expedition into Witherburn two years after he became a Frostwalker, the first one to do so in 25 years and the first one to return in 200. But then came the Cult of Death and finally in 2000 years the feirie chorts rose again to defend their throne as the gods of Isildur. Unfortunettly Alwin could not partake in the Battle of the Cathedral of death for the civil war that had rocked all of Isildur was especially bad in the Winter land, for because of the number of small clans that were all around choose sides, this was especially bad for the Frostwalker clan for one of Alwins brothers supported the Cult of Death while the other one did not, theirfor the civil war was crippaling and boath his brothers died in the battle. This was the point when Alwin became Tru Walker, and so that is the story on how Alwin Steelgazer became both Tru Walker and Leader of the Frostwalker clan but now rebellion is brewing again for starvation is settling in for the lack of monsters. The seas become more dangerous and even the courts show sings of waking again and all knows that a world that has been without gods for over 400 years does not what them again.

Qualifications

You must be a Frostwalker with at least 30 lone hunts and 50 team hunts, you must have performed at least one expedition and not have major flaws that can be used to an enemy advantage.

You must be a Frostwalker, This is the only requirement to gain this title.

Appointment

The previous Tru Walker appoints the next based on skill and experience.

Duties

The Tru Walker can fill two roles. One is that of a sage, older, and more experienced Tru Walkers usually take up this post especially after a long time as a monster hunter. They then teach a younger generation of Frostwalkers what they need to know of the walker trade, they also preserve their knowledge in books. The second role a Tru Walker can fill is that of a warrior, he goes out alone or with a team and hunts down monsters that plague the land earning glory and renowned and it is not uncommon for a sage to go on one final hunt of a legendary monster to try to slay it alone.

Responsibilities

The day to day work of a Tru Walker is maintaining the Forstwalkers and organizing its funds and keeping the monsters out of the territory of Aril Le Tharda. Occasionally a Frostwalker is given a funeral pyre at the Gate of Frost.

Benefits

A Tru Walker is the leader of the Frostwalker and gets all the responsibilities and benefits with it.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The only equipment that is required is a silver sword (preferably magical) and a Frostwalker emblem.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Only death can remove a Tru Walker though the wilder of this title can step down and retire if he so wishes.

History

There have been many holders of this Title and Alwin Steelgazer is the first one to be both the leader of the Frostwalker clan and the Frostwalker organization.

Cultural Significance

Those how hold this title are the most experienced monster-hunters of the Frostwalkers and the most mutated with many strange abilities so they are either regarded as heroes or as bad as the monsters they slay.

Notable Holders

The stories and legends of most holders are lost to history but a myth claims that the first one how had the title of Tru Walker was Geralt Rime Frost but there is no way to prove this theory or claim.
