The Frostwalker clan

The Frostwalker clan is a highly dangerous group of monster hunters how formed alliances with many small clans that they would give them protection if they agreed on being under the rule of the Frostwalker. Most agreed and those how didn't were conquered. The Frostwalker have made good on their word for almost all monster that was in their territory have been destroyed or fleed, but tensions are rising for with the monster gone the Frostwalker are losing trade options and more and more Frostwalkers hunt outside of their territory where they are treated little better than the monsters they hunt, now spreading farther and farther away from their homeland trouble brews theirs for the clans that have for so long relied on the Frostwalkers to protect them from monster attacks but now with the dwindling monster attacks some are considering to leave the clan or even erupt into revolution.    The Frostwalker Order The monster hunting group itself is detailed in another article but these are the things you should know about them. They live to fight monsters and their life is all about that. When they become true Frostwalkers they undergo a brutal transformation process that sees them changed by herbs and alchemical ingredients making them faster, stronger, and wiser through this severely limits their ability to feel emotions.   Aril Le Tharda This is the main fortress and city of the Frostwalker clan and it has never been breached by any raid, its harbor is surrounded by high walls and only two ways to enter the harbor which makes it almost impenetrable by sea. The Fortress was built long ago by the ancient elves that used to make the Winter land their home and now only memories and the surviving city of Aril Le Tharda stands. The innermost walls of the city, those that stood their first are warded, and no monstrosity, apparitions, dragon, elemental, and fey can enter the city, also no summoning and teleportation magic works inside the fortress.

Demography and Population

Human, Halflings, Elves, Half-Orcs, Gnomes, Shifters, Tourteles, Half-Elves, Goliaths, Dragonborn, and the Undying.   These are the races of The Winter Lands and can be found thusly in the Frostwalkers domain. Human 43% Halflings 2%  Elves 15 % Half-Orcs 10% Gnomes 1% Shifters 10% Tourteles 3% Goliaths 10% Dragonborn 4% Undying 2%

Territories

The Territory of Aril Le Tharda stretch from the Gate of Frost and the Ice Crown Mountains down to the coast and the Frozen Moors.

Military

The military strength of the Frostwalker clan is hard to measure for they have about four dozen longships and a population of soldiers and monster hunters of around 4 thousand souls which makes them one of the strongest military forces in the Winter land but outside it they are a drop in the bucket comper to for example the armies station in the Summer lands. In the Winter land if we were to measure from 1 to 100 with one hundred being the strongest military they would be 84 while outside the Winter land they are just 18.

Technological Level

Unlike most other clans the Frostwalker clan have gotten their hands on a few thunderstone pistols and Blackpowder rifles which they use in monster hunting except that their technology is the same.

Religion

The only try religion in Aril Le Tharda are the cults that are spread far and wide, thanks to the Eldar Evils the people of Isildur stay clear of any gods or godlike beings but there are exceptions and there are those how to form cults.

Foreign Relations

The Frostwalker consider the Eider to be worthless for they seek cover behind their walls while they read the bones of the dead though they hold a healthy respect for the precognitive ability of The Eider.    The Flames on the other hand are held in high esteem for what eradicating monster doesn't fix is the bitingly cold of the Winter Lands but the fire of the Flames brings warmth to all though this makes them high enemies of the Frostshields, and it is not uncommon to see The Frostwalkers and the Flame working together no matter how ironic that is.

Agriculture & Industry

There is no agriculture in Aril Le Tharda just as there is nothing in the Winter Lands, the entire region is cold and can not support any farming. While the other great clans might have a small lumber industry the Frostwalkers have made monster-slaying into a resource that can be harvested from the area. Mining is also an industry in Aril Le Tharda.

Trade & Transport

The only reasonable way to get to The Frostwalker clan is by sailing to it trough the Gulf of Ice for the Frozen Moors are extremely dangerous and so are the Ice Crown Mountains this makes it so that for the small clans around to prosper outside of the Frostwalker alliance they would have to set up a camp that would have access to the sea to survive. This combined with the fact that the harbour of Aril Le Tharda is ingeniously constructed makes it so that one is relatively safe in it, and it is a great place to stop for merchants how are planning longer voyages into Isildur.

Education

Dough to the shortage of monsters in this region most people know how to read and write unlike the Fanged ones and the Blackguards. There is also a university in the Forstwalkers main fortress along with one of the largest libraries on the island second only to the one that resides in The Fortress of Snow. There are also three mage towers scattered in different places in the area.

Infrastructure

Most of the small clans of the Frostwalkers are small and only have a simple palisade to protect them while their main fortress has stone and granite walls along with the biggest longhouse on this part of the Winterlands. The Frostwalkers greatest building however is one not even built by them and that is the Gate of Frost which was built by the ancient elvish empire that ruled the Winter Lands before the Wild Hunt wiped them out 2000 years ago. Though things like the harbor of Aril Le Tharda come close to beating it, even the city itself is a beacon of what one can achieve in the Winter Lands.

Major Exports
The Frostwalker clan exports a lot of stone and ore they mine from the Ice Crown Mountains but the thing they export the most are monster parts such as yeti fur, remorhaz scales, and other rare items. But now the Frostwalkers have a problem for while everyone is suffering from monster attacks the Frostwalker require more monster now than ever since they are expanding so fast but monster no longer come to their territory and those how are already their flee across the Ice Crown Mountains. But this doesn't mean that their territory is empty of monsters just the most destructive ones such as yetis and remorhaz for Hags and another urban monster can still be found in the area.
Major Imports
Most of the resources needed such as food are stolen in raids though the Frostwalker clan also trades monster parts for food and many have now sought work outside the Winter lands in the hunt for monsters. The Frostwalkers seek more trade from the Winter lands and will offer protection for merchant ships that sail throughout the Winter land.
