The Frostwalkers

The Frostwalkers are a group of monster hunters how have undergone mutations to become faster, stronger and gain increased reflexes. The Frostwalker has been a part of the history of the Winter land for over 2000 years though the order has been destroyed three times throughout 2000 years they have always returned, but this means that most of the knowledge that the order was keeping has now been lost.   Training: Anyone can become a Frostwalker and those that chose to follow this path is sent to a fortress near the Gate of Frost where they are trained in swordplay, herb lore, monster lore and alchemy. Also their strength, constitution and wisdom are increased. Then the foundling has to go through the Trial of ice which is a long and argues test in which the foundling is changed into a Frostwalker. This gives them greater strength and reflexes they also gain the eyes of the animal of the school they plan on joining which is a Frostwalker distinguish mark. The newly made Frostwalker will then choose a school to join which are the following. School of the Wolf, School of the Raven, School of the Snake, School of the Bear, School of the Cat and School of the Eagle.   The School of the Wolf Sometimes called the school of the hunter this one has the most Frostwalkers. This school focuses on the hunting of the monster and how to slay them. They travel all around Isildur and beyond, it was the first school and has always been. Those of this school are a traditionalist and the school does not allow women to join. Famous Frostwalker that wherein the school of the wolf includes Godwin Ironguts, Boarabur The Strong and Morthos Hellhand.   The School of the Raven The school of the Raven are scholar and teachers they write down the experiences and lore that other schools gather and then they use that knowledge to train other Frostwakers. They are also those that defend the headquarters of the Frostwalkers, it is not uncommon for Frostwalker that have hunted many monsters and is getting on in years to retire from his former school and join the Scool of the Raven.    The School of the Snake  The School of the Snake is those how to manoeuvre around courts and keep those how to think that Frostwalkers are monsters from attacking the Frostwalker clan. They are the Face of the Frostwalkers as they manoeuvre and scheme so that Frostwalkers are always needed.   The School of the Bear The Scool of the Bear are a lot like the school of the wolf and the cat but instead of moving around they stay put and have certain territories so that when a new monster comes in they are often the first to know. The entire territory of the Frostwalker clan is covered by this school and stations at the Gate of Frost is a whole battalion of then so that no monster comes through there. There are a few members of this school stations outside Isildur though they usually join the Spooks to avoid being swarmed by monsters.   The School of the Cat When the first woman joined the Frostwalker she was outraged that she could not hunt monsters in the School of the Wolf so she formed her own school, the school of the cat and soon this became as big and grand of a school as The School of the Wolf. However in recent years the popularity of the School of the Cat has decreased for most don't what to pursue such a dangerous line of work in a relatively safe clan.   The School of the Eagle Truly the school of the Eagle are the scouts of the Frostwalkers, they are the ones how scout monster lairs, the underdark and other planes. With only a handful of useful Eagles to call apon they are very useful and valuable.   Equipment Any good Frostwalker needs good equipment and all of them have at least this including whatever magic items they find alonge the way. A medalion with the symbol of the animal which looks like the animal their school represents (the madalion can sense monster within 10 feet), a steel greatsword, a silver greatsword and medium armor.

Structure

The Leader of the Frostwalker is the Tru Walker and those how to do not ber this title are a Frostwalker there are no in-between it just the one with the most kills or most experiences at their craft the only true organization structure are the schools of the Frostwalker are paired together for hunts. the most popular schools are The, Wolf, raven, and snake. Those who have not undergone the ritual to become Frostwalkers are referred to as foundlings.

Culture

Frostwalker has their emotions dampened so they view the world in a purely professional eye so many clans and cities consider them to be as bad as the monster they themselves slay that has made Frostwalker loner at heart and they prefer to work alone coupled with the fact that a Frostwalker will do anything to complete a mission lead to the fact that Frostwakers is very reliable and one can always count on that he will get the job done preferably with as few casualties as possible they will not betray you.

Assets

There are about 750 Frostwalker scaterd around Isildur and the Winter land but most of them reside in the Gate of Frost or Aril Le Tharda. Also, they have the backing of the leader of the Frostwalker clan.

History

Not much history existed about the Frostwalkers for their headquarters has been burned down multiple times throughout history and the last time that happened was in 45 E.F when the Avatar of the elder evil known as the Prismatic Serpent was destroyed, and the Frostwalker rode all across the land to help the mortal races in pushing back the Elder Evils. But when the Forstwalker fortress was destroyed then so did all the knowledge that was inside.   During The Demonic invasion, the demons pushed as far as Morath in the south, except they did not take most of the winter land for during that time the Frostwalkers had been preparing to gather themselves, and when the demons struck Aril Le Tharda the walls held the first city to ever do so and then the demons were pushed back to the north. When the Cult of Death rose unlike in the Autem lands only a few clans allowed it to enter their territory but not the Frostwalkers, and so when the courts awoke to push these usurpers from their Throne as gods of Isildur the Frostwalker joined the side of the courts and when the final battle came many Frostwalkers where their and just like all those how fought in that battle they were lost to the trees of The Forest of Res Leaves.
