Brief
Across each of the three Bloodkeeper clans (Frost, Leaf, and Sand) there are many different Family Bonds. As a result this has spawned the Family Bond Catalog, a large tome spanning many pages of family names and the accompanying symbol. Each settlement has their own tome, with their own collection of Bonds.

Significance
Family Bonds are such a huge part of bloodkeeper culture, being heavily tied to their identity and how they're seen by others. These markings allow bloodkeepers to see family lineage at a single glance; each marking is like a name on a family tree, passed down from one generation to the next. Every time a bloodkeeper decides to change their marking due to an outside choice (marriage, adoption, being disowned, ect.) This is added as well, and the family it came from is noted.
Since each clan has a huge collection to keep track of it was no surprise that they began recording them to avoid losing any to history. Each typically has the image of the marking, the family name, and the earliest use of it.
