From the earliest days of Isekai, the
Temple of the Forgotten was slowly built, brick by brick placed and cemented as the
Divine Races grew into their own. The Goddess of the Forgotten knew there would be a need for her at some point, even the earliest children of the gods were not infallible. The shelves and halls that were slowly taking shape would be needed to house what these incredible people had forgotten.
Once nothing more than a reaching grassland,
Dementia shaped her realm to be little more than an immense archive that seemed to go on forever. Slowly, the entire realm would be encased, all within the walls of the
Temple of the Forgotten and the slowly growing
Crystalline Repository. As the repository grew, so too did the realm, following the labyrinth of memories that
Dementia kept.
As the items filled the shelves,
Dementia changed the climate within the temple to preserve everything as best she could. The temperatures were cooler, similar to the crispness of a fall day. The lights were dimmer, allowing the gold on the book spines to shine in the flicker of candlelight. Of all the
Celestial Realms, the Other Side is by far the most controlled climate, making it the most perfect of repositories.
The halls of the
Temple of the Forgotten that rest outside of the
Crystalline Repository are more welcoming, with warmer temperatures and brighter light. Few experience these areas for long as most are visiting the Other Side specifically to find something that they have lost.
I would love to visit to browse through all of the memories.
