The Great Spirit
God of Life and Growth
The Great One is the name given by most races to the greatest of all the Beings sent into the world. It is said it awoke mankind to its first consciousness. Before the instructions of other races, mankind thought the Great One had itself created all. Indeed, there are some who still believe this. What is clear is the Great Spirit is the mightiest of the beings, though it has never been seen in the form of a creature (such has a human or elf) like all the other gods. Occasionally it does speak to us mortals. It has also provided great strength to some, seeming more interested in using those who serve most loyally to do its bidding, rather than intervening directly. It is most like Alkuperä in nature. The Great Spirit is not quick to halt the harm caused by mortals on other created life. After the Red Tide heretical groups rose up in rebellion against his authority claiming the Great One cares not for any man. Others saw the survival of Galvania as a direct gift.
