The Northern Free-State Singularity

The Northern Free-State Singularity
The Northern Free-State Singularity is a collection of other stellar polities similar in make-up and function to the Galatea Council. North of the current Galatea territories, their stellar holdings are vast. They believe themselves as the legitimate heirs of Tenebrian-Empire and the legacy left behind. Member states similar to the Galatea polities inhabit this alliance, working together in a similarly fragile balance.   The NFSS Technology level is still the standard Tech Level 4 in most places. They have ships, they have modern soldiers and modern equipment. In some cases, their equipment is a bit newer, and free of the frontier trappings the Galatea Council has had to make do with being further out on the rim. Aside from more Tech Level 5 equipment commonly available there, they also have developed some of their own technologies in the time since The Silence.   Their combined capital world is Hassam, nominally a Glen world, though it has been given over as a place of administration and free settlement to all alliance members. It is thought that they also do have their own version of the Psychic Academy, though it is not clear if disciplines such as Nullification, Gaiascopics, and Electrokinesis have been developed there. It is also unclear if anything else has been created by whatever alternate learning the Alliance has pieced together.
Member States
The Cyberian League- A communist republic consisting of both Anwarif X systems, and north to Hallfdi, the Cyberian League is a small but populous block of the NFSS. The people are hardy, inventive, and endlessly productive. Their mines and farms are responsible for most of the raw materials that flow to the other members of this alliance. The receive manufactured goods and modern trappings in return. They are among the most devoted to this alliance as it has pulled their polity from miserable poverty and loss. They are not as xenophobic as the CBSS and some credit that glasnost with the Cyberian League’s greater level of success.   The Glen- Shrewd, patient hunters, known to be the polity war-hawks, the Glen is a name given to the polity stretching from Nalaenides, Deicus, Domia, Theros, and east to Hassam where it abuts Cyberian League territory. Most of the population is human, though they have adopted Mosks, and Piggen among their ranks as equal citizens. The Glen and its citizens take great pride in being the best soldiers among the NFSS. When serving in mixed units, their members often take on the roles of officers, trainers, and other leadership figures. They believe it is their duty to provide security for the alliance until such time other member states can stand on equal footing with them. The Glen and its soldiers favor quick attacks on highly mobile grav vehicle when possible. Serving as raiders, skirmishers, scouts, and special forces, this means leaving the mechs and other heavy equipment to other Alliance forces when fighting offensively.   The Irradiated Republic- Scavengers, machinists, and innovators, this power bloc is relegated to the planets of Cikaphus, Theus, the black hole KM-87883, and the black hole TMX21-G1. They maintain large outposts and research stations at both, along with more secretive projects for the Alliance. It is rumored other Ashen Ones have been seen here- working alongside a mechanical race not seen anywhere else in the Iron Sectors. The Irradiated Republic takes its name from the Tomb World like nature of the planets it inhabited before getting travel of the wider alliance. They still prefer home, enjoying the process of searching through their fallen planets for technologies to reverse engineer, or apply in new ways to advance their Alliance’s collective learning.   The Qong-Tre Collective- The largest block of NFSS territory, the Qong- Tre collective is made up of ‘Tre aliens and their human auxiliaries. Months of bitter fighting with human colonists before The Scream saw both races reduced to states where the bitterness could not continue without ensuring mutual destruction. Five years of side by side work have created a strong nation, with much of the past bitterness resolved. They are a generalist state, providing any kind of help wherever it is needed across the Alliance. Their territories include CM-55075, Megeucy, Vigerd, Hie, Diomikato, Ibrotera, and Kamos. All are mixed states of human and ‘Tre aliens.   Southern Fastness States- A Geon led power bloc, the Southern Fastness States pride themselves on being a series of fortress worlds, keeping the underside of their combined territories safe. The SFS controls Tanvao, Garteag, Theneus, Uzov, Brezemia, and Alvo. These worlds are dominated by mines, factories, shipyards, space defenses, and all other hazards that ensure the approach to the Alliance is well protected. They have not yet pushed further south, but it seems an obvious choice for expansion.
