Raijalos

Canivore
At over 50 meters high at adult height, this beast is truly one or two to a planet capable of hosting them. The king of all predators, the Raijalos is an experiment in genetic fusion gone wrong and is a leftover from the First Wave of Exploration when such gene tampering was more liberally permitted. 
Giving off trace amounts of background radiation, the beast stalks the forests and marshy regions of a planet, devouring anything unfortunate enough to cross its path. They are notoriously difficult to kill, shrugging off virtually anything but heavy weapons fire. 
To that end, so much destructive force is needed to put them down, that by time the beast falls there is generally little left for scientists or trophy hunters. 
Nonetheless, a well preserved or expertly killed body can bring in millions of credits.
