Einstein's radical theories flung humanity into the stars on the backs of diesel-powered starships, but not even faster than light travel permitted us to escape human nature or the sins of our past--colonialism, fascism, greed, hatred. After the first Solarian War against the fascists, we hoped to build a future free of the crimes of the Axis powers, but interstellar travel just allowed us to repeat them over and over on a grander scale.
Iron Horizons is a dieselpunk space opera in which humanity's history, both prehistoric and modern, is drastically different from our own, but their future feels eerily familiar to our own.
