Tale of Two Sisters: Episode 06 - Matching Medallions
Working their way up north in search of Verdan's Camp. The Crimson Companions pack up their camp and continue their journey through the jungles of Sersinara.
The introduction to the warm, stickiness of this dense rainforest is unpleasant at first but naturally The Crimson Companions adjust very quickly.
Wilhelm Ironbark leads the group, eventually coming to a standstill as he stands on what appears to be some sort of spore-like fungus, purple in appearance. Whilst most of the party manages to evade the tiny little spores that got squeezed out by Wilhelm Ironbark's foot, Wilhelm Ironbark however, wasn't so lucky. Despite not having any terribly adverse effects, Wilhelm Ironbark's eyes appear to turn purple and his mind becomes slightly numb.
As they venture further up north, they are ambushed by Siona Nathildur and a group of scouts, Gnaw'd Rotflesh & Jascha make an attempt to hide whilst Wilhelm Ironbark gleefully walks ahead and is taken by surprise.
At first the initial encounter with Wilhelm Ironbark is hostile, but Siona Nathildur brings her guard down when she notices the bear looking rather out of it. She attempts to ask questions to Wilhelm Ironbark as he attempts to dodge them until he notices a Medallion. One similar to the ones the protagonists earned from participating in the Akionetakoro. Wilhelm Ironbark tells Siona Nathildur that they had been sent from Akōra, when she quickly realises that Portmaster Nemitha Adaran must have sent them. Siona Nathildur's scouts eventually find the rest of the party. Siona Nathildur begins escorting them to Verdan's Camp.
Once at the camp, The Crimson Companions are taken inside the main tent in which they are introduced to Verdan Blackwater, the leader of this group.
After explaining the reason for being in Sersinara, Verdan Blackwater says he's willing to handover a map containing some sites his scouts have found which may prove to be useful to the protagonists. However he explains that, in exchange, he would like them to help get rid of a Kobold group further up north. Said he will also spare some men to meet with Captain Osier Tydes, help repair the ship and move any supplies.
Verdan Blackwater suggests that they take a member of their camp with them to help find this area the kobolds are holed up in.
Wilhelm Ironbark befriends Reanna Laerillin and finds out that she's been helping chronicling all the beasts in this land. Having an interest in what she's doing, Wilhelm Ironbark brings her along on the journey, hoping she can provide useful insight in the beasts that roam this continent. Saladar Al Shalim reluctant at first with bringing her along, decides to go with it anyway.
As they make their way up north, they find themselves at a cliffside. Looking down, they come towards an area between two cliffs and notice a group of Kobolds down there, standing in front of an entrance to some sort of old temple that appears to have been dug through.
Saladar Al Shalim hatches a brilliant plan to convince Kobolds that their deity has communed with them and seeks their presense elsewhere. Clearing the area using his Thaumaturgy. The Crimson Companions decide to go down and investigate this temple.
They discover it's a temple that had once belonged to The Silmeirans, a long gone elven civilisation that once ruled over Sersinara before the end times.
Northinur, Ranger of The First King of Silmeira
Timera, Sword of The First King of Silmeira
Utherandon, Mage of The First King of Silmeira
Alaion, Champion of The First King of Silmeira
Each depicted with imagery to match their respective roles. Alaion's tomb wields no weapons of sorts, but instead holds a strange looking Medallion in the shape of a sun. The Crimson Companions inspect Alaion's tomb closely to find that the coffin had been moved previously. As they move it, it reveals a small hole where something may have been placed there. Resembling the shape of a diamond, with a dull looking pearl positioned in its centre, The Crimson Companions would come to learn that it's one of two Keystones that is key to opening a vault in Sersinara. Saladar Al Shalim attempts to perform a ritual which had been left drawn on the floor of this temple. He communes with a strange being, what secrets he has unravelled, he kept to himself.
After exiting the temple, The Crimson Companions find themselves trapped in the area by an unknown archer who attempts to kill them.
The Archer attempts to communicate with The Crimson Companions and offer them a chance to surrender. The protagonists decide against it, and face the threat together alongside Reanna Laerillin.
The lengthy battle ends with the Masked-Archer defeated with Wilhelm Ironbark deciding the best way to was to charge head in.
With the threat defeated, and The Crimson Companions stand around the dying Elf-Archer as he mutters out "She will come for all of you, The Legion of The Hidden sends their regards"
