Trael

The Swamp of Trael is known as a treacherous place where the wrong foot step might lead to being drowned in its murky waters. Locals from Halland harvest peat from the swamps due to its fuel properties. The peat is then refined and transported to be used as far away as Grimsund and Bjorkadir.
Legends tell of a horrible Lich building the Tower of Trael on a hill in the middle of the swamp. The Lich terrorised the land before it was finally slain in a great battle by the First King of Lofenia. The skeletons and equipment of Lofenian soldiers can still be found all around the swamp, which makes the location a popular spot for scavengers who dare traverse the swamp.
