Olstad

The small village of Olstad lies up high on the Cloudy Mountains in a small valley. So far above the sea-level, the air is both light, fresh and dry. There are few trees that can grow at these attitudes, which means that most timber is imported from elsewhere.
The people of Olstad are used to the light air and the heavy snowfall in the winter months. They are a hard-working folk that keep tight of their people and distrust those that visit. Due to their remoteness, they gotta keep themselves safe from bandits and wild life. Olstad is known for the ale brewed here, which is made from the fresh water coming down from the mountains and the special herb known as Misty White that gives the Olstad Brew its distinguished flavor.
During the winter months, the roads up the Cloudy Mountains are usually cut off by heavy snow. The people of Olstad survive by hunting the wildlife and from using imported grain (the same used for the beer). Olstad attracts many different people to its inn - some looking to taste the ale, others to admire the beautiful landscape and some who are looking for a refuge due to their different convictions.
