Jora Kampfrun, the exhalted champion of Anir falls from grace and becomes the first vampire.

Jora Kampfrun, exhalted champion of pelors fall from grace is a long and tragic one.   Jora had been engaged in a long and bloody war against the Khoven, and less time helping those in need as Anir truly desired. despite Anir's insistence that Jora return home and tend the crops, heal the sick, Jora was adamant that the Khoven Threat could not be ignored. when embroiled in combat, Jora attempted to draw upon his gods blessings to smite a horde of undead, only to find his god had abbandoned him in his greatest moment of need. Anir thought that Jora required a lesson in obedience, that despite being his champion he was still a follower of the faith. Jora watched as many died due to his inability to draw upon the sunlords grace, and grew bitter and angry at his god. curisng his name and refusing to be his pawn anymore Jora abandoned Anir in return, but refused to relinguish the sunsword as it was a powerful weapon against the undead. for his Hubris, Anir cursed his once Champion, to burn as if aflame whenever in the light he had once worshiped. Jora, had made himself an enemy of Anir, his followers, and the very light of the sun itself. the story doesn't end there, as Jora bartered the Sunsword away to Mephistoples, in return for dark powers that he could use to fight the Khoven and eventually Anir. Mephistophles all to happy to widen the wedge between Champion and God, accepted. the Archfiend bent every power he could towards molding Anirs curse into a blessing, and in the end created the Sanguine Plague, an early version of Vamparism. With his new Dark Blessing Jora used his Sanguine Plague to turn many of Anir's followers into Vampires, and assaulted the church of light for centuries. in 4, 529 Jora stole a Cloud Giants castle after slaying him in combat, he and his followers would use the Stormkeep to annihilate the Garden of the Sun, and much of the Continent upon which it stood with magically augmented cannonfire. two centuries later, a new temple was constructed from the remnants of the massive Cathedral, the Temple of First Dawn.
