Jora Kampfrun, the Night Lord. first of the Vampires, and bane of the sun.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Jora was always physically fit, pushing his body to the limits he could find. as a Vampire he boasted inhuman strength.

Body Features

Jora would live so long as a Vampire that his body would mutate, becoming Jagged and rigid like the bark of a tree. his eyes glowed with a cold blue light.

Facial Features

Jora had gaunt angular features, pale green flesh that rose in bone like ridges to offer increased defense. his eyes glowed with an unearthly blue light and his hair was staunch white

Physical quirks

Jora left himself undefended to goad his opponents into attack him, relying on his inhuman agility to dodge away from the attack at the last minute and strike when his foe was most vulnerable

Special abilities

Jora learned to use his Vampiric ability to shift into mist, to his advantage in combat. shifting to mist just before an opponent thought him cornered, Jora would re-position to quickly turn the advantage to his own, or to land a killing blow.

Apparel & Accessories

Jora wore antiquated armor, that was heavily enchanted to ward off attacks, granting him further enhanced durability strength and agility. his armor was stylized similar to the Voss, in that it is designed to demoralize his opponent, a stained rusted bloody color with large demon wings crowning behind his head from his pauldrons.

Specialized Equipment

Jora's sword, the Prince of Crows, was an overwhelmingly powerful longsword, forged from silver and cold iron, and enchanted with a killing edge that allowed the blade to drink his opponents blood to heal Jora in the midst of combat. it was further enchanted by the Voss , encasing some partially-sentient Shadow Essence within the blade, allowing it to learn as it bit into his opponents flesh, allowing each blow to be more devastating than the last. Despite the Prince of Crows enormous worth, Jora cared most of all for a small music box he carried with him from his childhood, gifted to him by his mother upon leaving for training with the Anir Clerics. it remains the last warm memory he has, and the last shred of humanity.

Personal history

Jora was born into a poor farming community that received blessings from the clerics of Anir. Jora was trained under their tutelage to be a cleric but found his calling as a Paladin, as Khoven invaded his home. living the ideal life of a paladin under Anir's Dogma he was Chosen as Anirs Champion, and received further training and instruction at the Garden of the Sun. when the Dwarves of Argantus went to war with Khoven, Jora led a battalion of Paladins to aid their efforts in a long and bloody war. eventually he would fall from Anir's grace, leading to a long and bitter crusade Jora would launch against Anir and his followers.

Jora was educated by the Clerics of Anir, and further instructed at the Garden of the Sun upon becoming Anir's chosen champion. later he would receive instruction from the Shades of Strathos on dark magic, and their ways of combat.

Employment

Jora served as a Paladin of Anir, for most of his life and soldier in the Argantus army. he eventually became a Major in the Dwarven army. later after his fall he was Night Lord, first born of the Sanguine Plague.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Jora lead the charge that destroyed the Anguished, a horde of undead that remembered their past lives, wailing in pain and horror to demoralize their foes.

Failures & Embarrassments

Jora was defeated at the Gate of Khoven, as many would be turned away from the mighty wall.   Jora was abandoned by Anir and stripped of his Paladin powers leading to the death of most of his battalion, and shortly afterwards Cursed by his god.

Mental Trauma

Jora sufferd from PTSD during following his time at war with Khoven, and subsequent banishment by Anir. later Jora would become increasingly cold and sociopaths as his hatred of Anir drove him to commit acts of Genocide.

Intellectual Characteristics

Jora was a talented strategist as a human, but foolhardy and sure of himself, leading to his first major defeat at the Gate of Anir. After becoming a vampire, Jora would become a master strategist and combatant, having centuries worth of experience at war.

Morality & Philosophy

As human Jora was altruistic and noble, refusing to allow injustice or danger of the Khoven Empire loom so close to home. after his fall from grace however, he became apathetic and sadistic. he would revel in the torture of Anir's followers, but enjoyed stripping them of their faith even more.
