The fall of Asmodeus from grace, the end of the Dawn Wars. this also happens to coincide with the first records of Mortals, having been guided through their evolution by various gods such as Moradin and the Anir. As written by the Clerics of Anir.
Following the final battle against the Primordials and the Chaos Beasts a semblence of Order reigned across the multiverse. Elemental Chaos had been contained within areas where the stuff of creation could fester without obliterating all that had been forged by the Firstborn Gods. Tharyzdon, the Watcher of Elemental Chaos, had been tasked with guarding the realms of Chaos to ensure they did not spill forth into Realms of Law. Asmodeus fresh from battle against the Chaos Beasts sought out the God. It's unclear how, but Asmodeus convinced or otherwise noble and mighty Tharyzdon to free the Primordials and many of the Chaos Beasts from their prision, leading them to an endless plane of Chaos that the Chaos Beasts spawned from. here Tharyzdon gathered his power and attempted to conqure the freshly spawned multiverse, corrupting many of the 'lower' planes. the Gods of Law, unaware of Asmodeus' invovlement sent their champion to defeat their fallen brother. Asmodeus pointed out he was forged to serve the gods, and was thus unable to strike down another god. The Firstborn turned to Oros the Lawkeeper, to aid them. Oros inscribed upon the Tablets of Fate, expanding the foundation of reality from Chaos and Law to now include Good and Evil. in this he expanded the duties of Asmodeus and his followers, to punish Evil. for eons Asmodeus and his kin would wage war against Tharyzdon and his chaos hordes, turning a great river of blood that tainted the realms they fought upon. Asmodeus and his followers would return to the Celestial planes many times, as they derived their power from the Divine Essence of Gods, and needed to be recharged. this prevented any real progress to be made. Asmodeus proposed a solution, that one or more of the Firstborn aid in the final push to Tharyzdon's chambers. Tharyzdon, being one of the most powerful Firstborn would require several Gods to finally end this conflict and bring a true end to the Dawn Wars. eight other gods joined Asmodeus, and followed the Archangel into battle against Tharyzdon's hordes. during their battle, those eight gods would be sacrificed as Asmodeus had plotted all along with Tharyzdon. The Firstborn god tainted and corrupted their Godly essence twisting it to his will. in the final moments Asmodeus struck, destroying the Firstborn in his most vulnerable state and casting his corrupted blood into the Elemental Chaos where it would fester and become the Abyss. When confronted by Oros and the remaining Firstborn, Asmodeus pointed out he'd only done as instructed and destroyed the Evil Tharyzdon. Oros, despite his rage, could not contest the point as Asmodeus had not raised a hand to strike down the Firstborn that had come with him. The other Firstborn did not agree with Oros and the gods began to argue amongst themselves the fate of Asmodeus. during their infighting a Bhebil, a race long thought destroyed, attempted to steal the Tablets of Fate upon which the laws of creation were written, and could be re-written to devestating effect. Asmodeus engaged the Chaos Beast in combat, the two delivering near fatal blows upon one another.during their battle, they wrestled for control of the Tablets of Fate, unable to gain the upper hand Asmodeus instead chose to banish the Tablets of Fate outside of reality ot keep it from the Chaos Beasts grasp. the shockwave sent the two hurtling through the multiverse. The Bhebil hurtling into the Infinite Abyss never to be seen again. Asmodeus was cast into the pits of Baathos, leaving a deep crater near the bottom where he bled unto those tainted fields. This Angered many of the other Gods, who now saw no way to properly punish Asmodeus, and accused the Archangel of plotting for this very outcome. following this many of the Gods chose different paths, becoming beings of Good and Evil, and even Chaos as well as Law. only Oros remained true to his original nature, and had no means to restore order to the Multiverse without the Tablets of Fate. Oros suspected this to be Asmodeus true goal, to split the Gods and turn them against eachother, though he had no proof or idea as to the motive. the Archangel remained in his pits, drawing in Evil Souls to punish them as was writtin upon the Tablets of Fate, none of the Gods allowed to interfere with the Fallen One so long as he followed the spirit of his purpose. to bring order, and to punish evil.
