The Abyss

The Infinite Abyss, the final Blasphame of Tharyzdon and Asmodeus before their fall or destruction.

Geography

This plane was once similar to Limbo, before Tharyzdon and Asmodeus tainted the plane with horrific evil and the final battles of the Dawn War forever marking it as a bastion of Evil. The Abyss was the plane of chaotic evil, home of the demons and a seemingly limitless number of other foul monstrosities. The stronger sought to dominate the weaker and the weaker conspired to overthrow the stronger. the 'closer' to the surface of the Abyss one was, the closer it resembled reality. the First Layer is said to resemble a festering Swamp where Demons amnifest themselves as corrupted beasts and mortals before presing through to another Plane. The deeper one goes the more Madness is seen, even as high up as the 7th layer, an endless sea of black ichor where there is no sky yet a reflection of maddening stars and ominous planets can be seen in the rarely still waters. Here restlessly evil souls and psychopaths are condemed to be hunted by the Demons until they are consumed or torn asunder. a mortal soul rarely lasts long in the Abyss, as the weak serve only to fuel to strong in this plane.
