Brierwell Estate
The vally in which Brierwell Mannor and the surrounding village that supports it reside.
Public Agenda
Outwardly, there appears to be no agenda, the Owner have typically lived estravagant lives paying mercenaries, entertainers, and builders to seemingly random whimsical and fleeting desires.
Assets
For generations Brierwell controlled a steady stream of Mystrium from Mistmire Citadel, allowing the estate to construct and enlist the aid of many craftsmen who brought their families with them for steady work and payment, effectivly paying for their own community and nearby servants.
History
Brierwell's early history is shrouded in mystery as is much of Antaeus, there are no records in the estates vast libraries nor the surrounding villages and hamlets of the founding of the Mannor, the earliest accounting puts it around 600 years old when the first recorded Count began his personal diaries. Even this however is uncertain, as the Count of that time makes refferences to ancient stonework, and previous owners and ancestors who lived in the Estate. Brierwell's history, for the most part, has remained uneventful, each count, baron, countess, and barroness who has claimed ownership of the Estate has lived a life of decadant luxury, unable to expend the great wealth the Deeds of the Estate offered them. the biggest challange were Warbands of Orcs, Hill Tribes men, and boredom, which is the most commonly complained about offender in Brierwell records. Typically the Owner of Brierwell hires a military leader, a headsman or captain, to lead their private army of hired thugs to clear out the surrounding area of Brierwell while the Owner and their noble aquantinces revel throughout the mannor. More recently however, as the Betrayed Niko Von Krohl siezed ownership of Mistmire, The funds that supported the Brierwells legendary avarice has dried up. Once the coin stopped flowing, so too did the towns livelyhood, many of the residents fleeing Antaues to nearby Argantus or braving the causeway out east towards the Sea of Storms. Since then Brierwell has stood eerily silent, an abandoned relic of sin and revelry amidst a land typically so dour and grim.
