Personal history

Aq'Zaad was said to been the twin of Omyn the Nameless Black in the age of Dragons. Others that she was his daughter, his mate, or perhaps an elaborate ruse by the Nemless Black. it is difficult to tell where Aq'Zaad and Omynvaarnth end, as many in the Black Drago Brood would impersonate their sires to mislead the other Broods as well as mortalkin. At some point however, before the fall of Dragons Aq'Zaad would be commanded by Tamalth to barter with Iribus for power and knowledge. The Dragon is one of the few to be allowed within All that is Lost, what she learned from the God of Secrets she only shared with Omyn and Indithas. The Darkener branded Aq'Zaad a traitor and the Black Brood all but abandoned the Dragonlord as he began to slaughter them indiscriminately. Aq'Zaad left and traveled in secret among the Human tribes, planting seeds for Amnul's rise to power ensuring the wizards ascension to archmage, and eventually Lich. Aq'Zaad would be instrumental in Amnul's rise of power, assisting him in his studies of the Arcane, betraying Damori, and his goal of becoming a Lich. Amnul would turn several of his followers into Liches, teaching them the ritual and overseeing them personally Aq'Zaad among them. It is unclear what Aq'Zaad's motivations are, or the extent of which Amnul was aware of her true nature. Aq'Zaad remained behind as Amnul and the rest of his inner circle abandoned Khoven. While the Lichguard fled to Narsai, Aq'Zaad would take her followers to Iezun. There was an attempted siege of Iezun with combined forces of Elves, Humans, Dwarves, and even Green Dragons. Aq'Zaad revealed a new and terrible power, dominating the wills of the Green Dragons who had joined forces with Mortals. trapped between their possessed Dragon allies and the forces of Iezun they were scattered and broken within days of landing. The dead were raised, and the Dragons taken into the depths of Iezun for Aq'Zaads unknowable goal. For centuries Iezun remained dormant, until Aq'Zaad's ritual was prepared. using the Green Dragons, Ley Lines, and secrets from Iribus himself Aq'Zaad began to siphon life from the Mortals of Irindoth. Death crept from Iezun in the form of a deathly fog, covering the face of Irindoth from The Fangs of Tal to the tundra of Mal Dorei. nothing grew, no seeds took root, no infants to be born. the dead remained dead and no miracle of the Arcane or the Divine would save them. Desperate assaults were launched upon Iezun in an attempt to breech Aq'Zaad's ritual, none even made it ashore. salvation came in the most unlikely of places as Jora Kampfrun and his Vampires established a beachhead with the aid of the Stormkeep floating above. Aq'Zaads ritual required the majority of her sorcerers full attention. even so, the assault upon the fortress of Iezun was slow and costly, centuries of preparation made even the forces of the Nightlord falter. Despite the ferocity of Aq'Zaads defenses at Iezun the fortress was eventually breeched and the inner sanctum purged. Jora would lead a group into the depths of Iezun in search of the phylacteries of the Liches. while many were found and destroyed, it was never known if the Phylactery of Aq'Zaad was among them as the depths of Iezun spilled into the endless expanse of the Old Kingdom. No spoils of war were to be had at Iezun, with the Great Enemy defeated desperate allies turned upon each other. no garrison was left behind at Iezun, no force sent to scout the Old Kingdom for signs of Aq'Zaads survival. Thousands of years with no sign from the Great Enemy, many assume her to be destroyed.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"The Gods made your kind to serve, to fight on their behalf. Why should you care about breaking their pacts, when they demand you live serve and die at their feet offering so little in return. What fool blinds themselves because their father demands it as tribute for being born."
