Deities

Status
A god’s status is defined by the age of its existence for the most part. The longer a deity has lived, or the greater their impact on the world the higher their status can become, at the behest of Gimros or Phydia. A god’s status does not always reflect its power, but it does affect what it can achieve with that power.
Over Gods
The over gods, also know as the gods of creation, are for all intents and purposes, omnipotent and omniscient. There are no limits to their powers, no limits to their knowledge and even without devout worship they are leagues beyond mortal comprehension in the extension of their power. The only over gods in the world of Iria are the two credited with the birth of the world, the first 4 gods and the first 3 races. Since the creation of the world, these two beings have slipped into the ether and are rarely worshipped on Iria, at least by name, but many of the deities claim to feel their power still.
Those of us who have been here since the birth of the world still feel their presence in everything we do. Everything we can achieve is through them, and just as we grant our abilities to the mortals who deserve it, they too, give us those abilities. If they wished it, they could take it all from us, and there is nothing we could do to stop them.
Olissa, The Goddess of the Sun
Gimros: The God of Creation.
Phydia: The Goddess of Destruction
Greater Gods
The greater gods are the oldest divine beings in the world, apart from the over gods. Most of them were worshipped before the rise and fall of Amadius, with only two exceptions to this. Amadius and Enkyth are the only two who have gained greater god status, through different means.

The greater gods also seem omnipotent and omniscient though this is far from the truth, they simply exceed most mortals comprehension. A greater god can hear, and see, anything that happens in a plane in which they have at least 1 follower. If their name is mentioned, or they are prayed to, they can see the entire plane for up to 1 year. There is also no limit to the number to planes they can look into at any time, or to the number of tasks that they can perform.

They can create or duplicate any item their minds can conjure up, including mortals. This action is very draining to the gods. For every one hundred pounds of inanimate mass they produce in this way they need to rest for one round (six seconds), and for every one hundred pounds of animate mass they produce in this way they need to rest for one hour. As long as the item they wish to create is within the portfolio there is no limit to what or how much of something they can create.

If a greater god so desires it, they can take on any form they wish to adapt, from a different mortal body to an entire planet if it is their desire. The form they chose to take does not have to be something within their portfolio, be animate, or follow any other laws. The form that they chose to take is limited to the restrictions of that being. If they chose to be a Thaxian than they are limited by physics and can only have two arms, they do still retain the resistances and abilities of being a god. These forms extend to that of their Avatars as well. A greater god can create up to ten avatars at any time, and if one were to be destroyed it takes them a day to create another one.

All greater gods have absolute control over life and death. No matter the location or status of a being, simply by will along, a greater god can kill or resurrect that being. Of course, another god can reverse this instantaneously if they so wish. Because of this, all of the gods mostly agree that such extremes need to be agreed upon. It still happens occasionally but they now chose to discuss with one another before enacting any extreme events like that.

Olissa: Goddess of the Sun
Enkyth: Goddess of the Moon
Arx: God of Magic
Amadius: God of Death
Haster: God of Nature
Iliro: God of Shadows

Lesser Gods
The lesser gods are younger gods, or beings that rose to divinity after the war with Amadius. Most of them aided in the battle in some way and in return Gimros offered them divinity for their service, and in some cases sacrifice. Some were recognized by Gimros and Phydia themselves, others had members of the greater gods speak of their actions and ask for their acceptance themselves. Compared to the abilities of the greater gods, the lesser gods are far more restricted in the things that they can do. A lesser god may be stronger than a greater god, but they can still only act within their means

They have many of the same abilities as the greater gods just on a smaller scale. Where a greater god can see and hear anything on the entire plane in which their name is spoken, a lesser god can see within one million square miles of where their name was uttered for one month. They can create or duplicate any item their minds can conjure up if it has something to do with their portfolio. This action is very draining to the gods. For every one hundred pounds of inanimate mass, they produce in this way they need to rest for one hour.

Elemental Lords
The Elemental lords of the Elemental planes were granted a level of Divinity within the world of Iria after the war with Amadius for the help they offered during the time, as well as granting ‘weak points’ within Iria where the planes melded with the natural world. The Elemental lords are equivalent to the Lesser Gods on Iria with the addition of having control over their element and the gateways into and out of their planes of existence.

Zatara: Elemental Lord of Air
Emlyn: Elemental Lord of Water
Mayis: Elemental Lord of Fire
