Structure

The Herald’s follow a very simple organizational structure, one simply of seniority. The more experience an individual has, the more weight their words have. As the organization was entirely run by Ahmiri Elaris, this never led to leadership disputes.

History

Throughout the decades of service the Herald’s of Lhor were responsible for the many mundane spiritual maintenance tasks that had been left unattended to for the longest time. Occasionally they would be require to intervene against those that warped spirits or would imprison them. This would bring them into occasional conflict with the Mage’s Charter and, eventually, with the Soulbinders of the Qivdaram during their invasion, though that was a very specific conflict. Due to the lack of ‘adventure’ or grandiose activities, in the latter half of the Age of Steel’s first century the Herald’s would see many members leave for ‘green pastures’, which would lead into Ahmiri Elaris’s decision to disband the Herald’s.

Disbandment

After nearly sixty years of service, Ahmiri Elaris was getting old and weary of leading the Herald's. Instead of leaving and letting the Herald's tear themselves apart she instead merged them with the Order of the Whispervine, a similar organization with a focus in the Frontier. After this she would retire from leadership positions, though would continue to maintain Ioral's spiritual health.
