The Sanguine Calamity amassed a great army of unified chromatic and metallic dragons and conquered the planet of Iontas in the wake of the chaos left by the Sacred Cataclysm
Much of Wayrth's history before the Elves arrived in 1478 M.E is shrouded in mystery. However, scholars have begun to uncover the great secrets of the world, through excavation of ancient civilisations and speaking with immortal beings.
Known as the Scaled Epoch in common, the Scala Epoch is a forgotten era, mostly wiped from history. Knowledge about this era has been kept secret by the most powerful and knowledgeable of scholars.
The Sanguine Calamity amassed a great army of unified chromatic and metallic dragons and conquered the planet of Iontas in the wake of the chaos left by the Sacred Cataclysm
The Great Draconic Empire is founded, its capital being the elusive continent of Wayrth.
The Sanguine Calamity selects a mortal as his "Mouth" and they become the Voice of the Calamity, wielding the Sanguine Aegis as a symbol of status
Mortals with exceptional loyalty to the dragons are granted fragments of their power. Those with the greatest devotion become like dragons themselves, giving birth to the Dragonborn. Some are granted fractions, giving rise to the Draconic Bloodlines. In some cases, dragons took on mortal forms to enjoy "pleasures of the flesh" with mortal companions. The results of these were Half-Dragons, a race looked down upon as abominations by both dragon and mortals alike.
Mortals across Iontas are oppressed and enslaved by the dragons, who were unchecked and unopposed by any force.
Metallic dragons grow displeased with the cruelty of the chromatics and most depart the Draconic Empire. At the behest of Meine, a silver dragon named Miirym took the separatist dragons and crafted a haven for mortals and dragons alike in a mountain, that she named the Silver Sanctuary.
Mortals slowly flocked to the Silver Sanctuary from across Wayrth and spellcasters from other continents helped refugees from their regions retreat.
Known as the "Ryte Gix'Oth" in Draconic, this marks the beginning of a great war erupts upon the surface of Iontas as the Draconic Empire engaged in a war against the rebelling Silver Alliance.
The Sanguine Calamity grows enraged at the Silver Alliance, and with an army of red dragons begins to burn cities all across Iontas. Casualties have never been counted but it is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions.
The Silver Sanctuary gains the powers of three powerful archmages: Vadania Liadon, Eshunu and Zumvalar. The three, along with Miirym begin to craft powerful artefacts to be able to defeat the Sanguine Calamity and his armies. The Silver Sanctuary is lifted into the air using a mythallar.
The Silver Alliance launches the first counterattack against the Draconic Empire: using five Orbs of Dragonkind, and their secret allies: the Giants, dragons are lured to traps set up by the three archmages and Miirym and are slaughtered or imprisoned. The armies of the Draconic Empire are attacked by Yuan-ti and Half-Dragons, tired of being oppressed, along with the mortal races. Wayrth falls into chaos as the Sanguine Calamity goes on a rampage, but is lured by an orb himself. Miirym battled the Calamity, herself being a Greatwyrm. The Sanguine Calamity is imprisoned and put to sleep, and Miirym is named the "Broken Wing" after her left wing was all but destroyed in her battle with the Calamity. The Draconic Empire is scattered and dissolved and the continent of Wayrth is abandoned by most races save for the Yuan-ti who claim it as their own.
Known also as the "Era of Paradise" this is the era of peace and freedom on Wayrth.

The Yuan-ti who claimed Wayrth as their home begin to try and force the Elves into slavery but instead are met with resistance, causing a war to erupt between the two races. A green dragon known as Chryselephantine, the Dread Queen, assists the Yuan-ti.
As elves arrive from Western Rizom, fleeing the aftermath of the Biir Massacres, the Yuan-Ti begin to capture and enslave them. However, the elvish refugees resist, banding together under the banner of the archmage, Thaliondorin. A war begins between the Yuan-Ti and Elves.
Elves establish contact with the Silver Sanctuary, forming an alliance with the reclusive city. Many elves whom were not fit for battle take refuge within the flying city and Mage-King Thaliondorin himself visits, studying forgotten magic under the guide of Miirym.
After studying under Miirym, Mage-King Thaliondorin lifts the elven stronghold Everantha into the sky, and uses it to rain magical barrages upon Yuan-Ti forces. This attracts the attention and ire of Chryselephantine, the Dread Queen.
Mage-King Thaliondorin engages in a duel with Chryselephantine, the Dread Queen of the Forest. This relentless and grueling contest spanned several days and nights, with each combatant evenly matched. It was ended when Thaliondorin sacrificed his life to invoke a power word to banish Chryselephantine to the Shadowfell.
