The Biir Massacres

There's a reason Humans hate Orcs and mistrust Elves.

The Biir (pronounced: B-eye-ar) massacres was a conflict that arose after the human race was created and placed onto the Material Plane.

The Conflict

Prelude

The creation of the human race

Deployment

Elvish and Orcish forces were sent in a pincer movement from the Sylphweald and the Arid Scar to attack any human settlements they came across.

Battlefield

Western Rizom made up the battlefield, primarily the Arid Scar and the Jade Expanse.

The Engagement

Elvish and Orcish forces slaughtered human settlements they came across. Eventually, Dragonborn, Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings came to the aid of the Humans. After a time, Elves began to appreciate Humans and turned on the Orcs.

Aftermath

The Thunderblood Kingdom was created and Humans became the dominant force in Western Rizom. Orcs developed an innate hatred for Elves after their betrayal. Elves, for the most part, retreated into the Sylphweald, occasionally leaving to explore Humanity's progress. Dwarves, suffering large losses, retreated mostly into the mountains and underground. Most Dragonborn integrated themselves with Humans.

Historical Significance

Legacy

Humans never truly got over the actions of the Elves, and most still bear a grudge against Elves. However, many do remember their change of heart, and appreciate them. Elves are accepted within the Thunderblood Kingdom, but are often mistrusted.
