Scholars and Clerics travel to Westwood Keep for the promises of Divine Healing through While Westwood Keep offers divine healing magicks and Badtown , those in search of soul rejuvenation find solace in The Blue Gem of the Sea.
Aesthetic
Surrounded by white sands and vibrant greenery, Hankala's natural beauty is a massive juxaposition to the rugged, "modern" aesthetic that a city such as Halsworthy. The city's buildings are clearly surrounding the large body of unnaturally blue waters; as though the city were clutching onto this sourceless body of water. The closer you are to the main body of nameless water, the most packed together the buildings are. Nearest to the lake is the Tower of the Gem; a massive rectangular building that stretches out for 400 feet and goes up 250feet. Furthur inland from the Tower is the "food belt"- a section of town that is primarily taverns and eateries strewn about. Going back furthur, you find the jail/ house of common folk.
The colors of Hankala are tans and browns; with the buildings being white and the rooftops being main colors. While rain is sparse, unlike a normal desert, the sourceless lake combined with the large hills bring a cold chill onto the land, becoming below freezing during night.
The Districts
The Wavekissed
Smelling of spices and food, the outer ring of the city is a homey and living section of the city that houses nearly all the citizens of Hakala. Spanning nearly the entire south-western coast, The Wavekissed has been prominently featured in a numerous impactful moments in the history of Hankala. The storied history has led to the Wavekissed being split into multiple factions and cultures.
The majority of Hankala's denizens are located in the Wavekissed, as well as the fact that it is comprised of narrow alleyways, gives the district the constant hum of action it is known for. It is no traditional marketplace, but most amenities could be found here (ie. clothes, foods, and toys).
The Suntrail
Moving past the winding trails and cramped walkpaths of the Wavekissed, you will find yourself in the Suntrailed. Wide open outdoor areas with recreational activities and schooling found in here. Suntrailed is a recently renovated zone of Hankala, owing its success to one of Gem's initiative to give more emphasis on education and the general happiness of the citizens (ideals that were only recentl adopted after a trip to Halsworthy).
If you aren't a student, housing is sparce and generally expensive. All the schools are outdoors with no walls, allowing anyone to join in on a class if they wish to. Multiple guards are posted up near the classes to ensure the saftey of the students and the staff. As you near the center of the Suntrail, you are met with large fountains that are located across the district, pushing out water straight from the source-less Lake. It is there that you find the merchants selling weak magical trinkets as well as restaurants, theaters, etc.
The Crown
Where the Gems are located, they relish in the comfortable temperatures that being next to teh lake gives them. The high society events, such as balls, duels, jousting, and art displays are held in this district. The shops here are primarily expensive and cater to a care-free life style.
Police Force
Rampant with crime and general fuckery, the Rapids are the front line for th people. THey allow the people to feel somewaht safer knowing that they are there to protect and serve them. THis is a nice thought, but unfortunately, far from the truth. The Rapids are a corrupt and greedy organization that got it's rise to power by appealing to the fears of The Tides ( the govermenent officials for Hankala).
Apparal
The Rapids sport a deep navy blue armor with scales that shimmer and move with the wind, giving it the apperance of a slow moving wave. THis is what the main police force wear, during missions of espinoge, a special division, yet lesser known, known as The Trenches are called in. This group wears dark leathers with half masks to hide their identity.
Location
The Rapids are located all around Hankala, having different outposts situatted in every district to better reach any disturbances. Each station is headed by one of the best warriors of the Rapids that all the workers there must listen to. THe main headquarters being located by the Tower of the Gem.
Tower of the Gem
The large white structure with the curved roof serves as a large apartment complex for the rich and those learning Hoonspa, known by the locals as the "H-Medics". In the center of the apartments, there is a large opening with several hotsprings that leave the place filled up with smoke.
Hotsprings open around 6 in the morning and close at 2am. The person that heads the operation is Ark Noahright, a stern military leader during the Civil war that occured between the thing north and the town to the east of the isle.

Furrele's Tab
In an arcane quarter, the chemical smells of fireworks and dead ants does little to pierce the homey and warm environment of the Furrele's Tab tavern. One of the most successful taverns, and the oldest as well. It is a 2 story building with hardened leather as walls between rooms. This leads to an extremely warm interior that blocks out most sounds and smells from outside. The street outside is adjacent to a small office and has a town crier with the latest news and gossip.
The owner of the establishment is a Dragonborne named J'ixion L'ixion, a tall blue fella with red horns that, rumor has it, killed his father for the shop.
Known as the Blue Gem of the Sea. Its unnaturally blue and clear waters has led to the discovery of a fantastical tourist sight as well as a breeding ground for aspiring crime lords. To comfort the citizens, or to bring in more royals to spend money in the city, Hankala boasts of their strict rules and battle-hardened guards. Guards, of which, whose corrupt nature and tendency to take bribes from the largest crime lord of the week is well known and well ignored. Hankala’s main attraction is the large lake that has been left unnamed for as long as anyone can remember. It lacks a source, yet it’s seemingly the cleanest water in the world. The mysterious body of water is forbidden for travel and is, instead, used for a form of spiritual healing known as “Hoonspa”. Rumors float around in candle-lit taverns by the hearty folk of the city, a being of power hidden under the waters, imbuing the essence of life into the said water and being a relic of the ancient war. Sadly, this is most likely not true.Turtle Company
Operating Out of the Wavekissed district, the Turtle company is one of the major buisnesses that helped establish the engineering sector. Henry Stone is the main engineer for the company, breaking new grounds with his hella innovative ideas and uncanny mechanical intellect. The Turtle company has been around for a decade and has made it's name as a ground a mercanaries that gurantee the protection of any cargo they're tasked with protecting. Lately, rumor has it that the turtle company has been expanding their reach into the weapons indusry.
