Natalie Lorne
Natalie Christina Lorne, is a public activist with the infamous terror group, the Free Space party. However, she is not quite as radical as some others within the group. She is a kind hearted young woman and doesn't want to hurt innocents.
Other than her borderline criminal affiliation, Natalie is a skilled computer programmer and engineer having earned her degree at MIT. She is absolutely brilliant, too brilliant to be mixing it up with the FSP. Shortly after the start of the Human-Hivivian War, Natalie became the first human to successfully translate Shilizal writings as well as partly learned the spoken Shilizal language.
Natalie is also a stealth transgender woman having been on female hormones since she was 8 years old, and gender reassignment surgery at 12. However, Natalie doesn't consider herself to be transgender. In fact, because of how she was raised, Natalie truly believes that she is a biological woman.
Appearance
Natalie's beauty is often the first thing people notice about her, an undeniable presence that commands admiration. Her porcelain skin is flawless, exuding a soft glow that makes her appear almost ethereal. She has a natural radiance that needs little enhancement, though she enjoys the art of makeup to emphasize her best features. Her bright blue eyes, reminiscent of a clear summer sky, seem to hold an endless depth, drawing people in with their intensity. They are framed by long, dark lashes that curl upward gracefully, making her expressions all the more captivating. With finely arched eyebrows that add a touch of elegance to her face, she is the epitome of refined beauty.
Her hair is perhaps one of the most striking aspects of her appearance. Though she was born blonde, Natalie made the bold choice to dye her hair a rich, fiery red. This transformation was more than just a cosmetic change—it was an embodiment of her vibrant, passionate personality. The cascading waves of red silk frame her face beautifully, giving her a distinctive and unforgettable look. The color sets her apart, making her easily recognizable in any crowd. Whether styled in soft curls, swept into a sophisticated updo, or left to flow freely, her hair never fails to enhance her beauty.
Natalie possesses an enviable hourglass figure that turns heads wherever she goes. With a well-proportioned 38C bust, she carries her curves with grace and confidence. She is not the most voluptuous woman in the room, but her balanced proportions contribute to a timeless, feminine elegance. Her waist is slender, accentuating the curve of her hips in a way that is both alluring and sophisticated. Her long, toned legs add to her striking silhouette, making her presence even more commanding. Every step she takes exudes poise, and every gesture is fluid and purposeful.
Attire and personal effects
Natalie's wardrobe is a perfect reflection of her personality—feminine, stylish, and meticulously curated. She has an eye for fashion and an innate ability to put together outfits that accentuate her natural beauty. One of her go-to ensembles is a denim miniskirt paired with black leggings, a pale blue t-shirt, a jean jacket, and black ballet flats. This combination strikes the perfect balance between casual and chic, making her look effortlessly put together. The soft blue of her shirt complements her bright eyes, while the fitted silhouette of her clothes highlights her curves tastefully.
During the warmer months, Natalie loves to embrace the ease and elegance of summer dresses. Flowing fabrics in pastel shades or floral patterns dominate her seasonal wardrobe, paired with comfortable yet stylish wedged sandals. These dresses not only enhance her feminine allure but also allow her to move freely with grace. She enjoys accessorizing with delicate jewelry, often choosing dainty bracelets, hoop earrings, or a simple pendant necklace to complete her look.
Natalie's attention to detail extends to her choice of accessories. She never leaves the house without her signature purse—a sleek, stylish bag that carries all of her essentials. Inside, she keeps a to-go makeup kit for quick touch-ups, ensuring she always looks impeccable. Tissues, a cellphone, and a holo-tablet are also must-haves, allowing her to stay connected and prepared for anything. As someone who values organization, she carries a locked journal stationary, where she records her private thoughts and reflections. An extra supply of tampons is always on hand, ensuring that she is never caught off guard by life's little inconveniences. A small but meaningful addition to her look is her purple watch, worn on her right wrist. The color, vibrant yet sophisticated, adds a touch of personality to her ensemble. The four rings adorning her right hand are more than just accessories—they are symbolic of different milestones in her life. Some were gifts from loved ones, while others were personal purchases marking important achievements. On her left hand, she wears an engagement ring, a sparkling testament to the deep love and commitment she shares with her boyfriend. Every time she glances at it, she is reminded of the unwavering support and affection that surrounds her.
Whether she is running errands, meeting friends for coffee, or stepping out for a glamorous evening, Natalie’s impeccable style never goes unnoticed. She carries herself with an air of effortless elegance, proving that fashion is not just about clothing—it is a means of self-expression. Every detail, from her wardrobe choices to her carefully selected accessories, tells a story about who she is. She is confident, poised, and unapologetically herself, making a lasting impression on everyone she meets.
Biography
Early life and education
Natalie Christina Lorne was born on May 6, 2692, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the youngest daughter in a struggling, working-class family that barely made ends meet. Her parents, burdened with financial difficulties, made a life-altering decision the moment she was born. Unable to afford the expenses associated with raising a boy—such as clothing, toys, and other necessities—they chose to raise Natalie as a girl. To them, it was a practical decision, one that made financial sense and allowed them to provide for their child without unnecessary strain.
From the moment she could comprehend the world around her, Natalie’s parents made certain she knew she was a girl. They reinforced this idea constantly, surrounding her with feminine affection and traditional expectations. Her wardrobe consisted of delicate, pastel-colored dresses, her hair was always neatly tied with ribbons, and she was encouraged to play with dolls instead of the toy cars and action figures that often caught her eye in the toy store. It was a reality carefully designed by her parents, one they upheld with unwavering commitment.
By the age of eight, Natalie’s parents took the next step in solidifying her identity. They administered testosterone blockers and estrogen under the guise of daily vitamins, ensuring that her body would develop along a biologically feminine path. At the time, she had no reason to question the routine; it was as ordinary as brushing her teeth. The changes in her body were slow and subtle, mirroring those of her female peers. Her voice never deepened, her limbs remained slender, and her features softened in a way that society expected from a young girl.
At twelve, when puberty was in full swing, Natalie found herself grappling with an unfamiliar discomfort. Her chest had begun to grow, an unfamiliar sensation that she couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t that she felt repulsed, just confused. She was different from other girls, or at least, she thought she was. The changes she experienced did not seem natural, and it sparked a curiosity that could not be ignored. One day, she approached her parents and, with unfiltered innocence, asked to have her budding breasts removed. It was not a request born of hatred for her body but rather a reflection of a fleeting belief that something wasn’t quite right.
Her parents, ever careful architects of her reality, feigned agreement. They soothed her concerns, nodding along to her request, and assured her that they would arrange everything. But their plans were different from what Natalie had envisioned. Rather than seeking the procedure she had asked for, they arranged for a more drastic measure—one that would cement their choice forever. When Natalie woke from the anesthesia, she expected relief, only to be met with confusion. The surgery had not been what she imagined. The truth settled over her like a thick fog, lingering just beyond the edges of understanding.
Shock rippled through her, but the intensity of the betrayal faded as time passed. The more she looked in the mirror, the more she accepted what she saw. She was still Natalie, still the girl she had always been. Her parents' deception, though immense, did not shatter her reality—it reinforced it. They had taken measures to ensure she was exactly who she was meant to be. And so, she moved forward, adjusting to the life that had been carved out for her.
Her parents never expressed guilt, nor did they falter in their decision. In their minds, they had acted in her best interest. To them, they had always had a daughter, and any means to secure that fact were justified. Their unwavering conviction ensured that Natalie never questioned herself again. The whispers of doubt that had once lingered in her mind were silenced, buried beneath layers of certainty and an unshakable belief that she had always been female.
Natalie’s childhood, though built on unspoken truths, was not an unhappy one. She was surrounded by love, laughter, and a sense of belonging. She excelled in school, forming close bonds with her peers, who saw her as nothing less than an ordinary girl. Yet, during middle school, a small voice at the back of her mind resurfaced. She could not shake the strange feeling that something about her existence was slightly off. For a brief time, she experimented—attempting to live as a boy, if only to see if the feeling would go away.
But trying to present as male was more complicated than she anticipated. It required skipping her makeup routine, binding her chest to hide the very features she had once questioned, and enduring the strange, lingering stares of her classmates. Teachers and school administrators quickly put an end to her experiment, reminding her that such behavior was distracting. When Natalie finally told her parents she would return to living as a girl, they simply nodded in agreement, confused as to why she had thought she was anything but.
By high school, Natalie had fully embraced her identity. She grew into her femininity with confidence, moving through the world with grace. She flourished, surrounded by a supportive group of friends who never questioned who she was. Art became her sanctuary, an outlet where she could explore emotions she did not fully understand. Painting and sketching provided a release, a way to shape her thoughts into something tangible. Teachers recognized her talent early on, praising her work and encouraging her to pursue her passion further. Soon, her artwork was displayed throughout the school, earning her accolades in local competitions. It was through her art that she found a true sense of self, a world where identity was fluid and bound only by the limits of her imagination.
College life
College life was everything Natalie had hoped for and more. She loved the freedom and independence of living on her own, and the diverse community at MIT provided her with a sense of belonging that she had never experienced before.
Natalie's busy schedule kept her occupied, but she managed to strike a balance between her academic commitments and extracurricular activities. She became a member of the Women in Computer Science club, where she found mentors and peers who shared her passion for technology. Together, they organized coding workshops for young girls in the local community, hoping to inspire more women to pursue careers in STEM fields. In addition to her interest in computer science, Natalie also discovered a love for engineering. She joined the Society of Women Engineers and participated in various design competitions, winning several awards for her team's innovative creations. But college life wasn't all about academics for Natalie. She also made time for self-care and explored new hobbies like cooking and child raising, as she wanted to be a mother due to her strong maternal instincts. In between classes and study sessions, she would often be found in the cozy kitchen of her dorm, experimenting with recipes and flavors.
Natalie had always been fascinated by the complexities of family dynamics, and the idea of nurturing a family of her own one day. She found joy in learning about child development and the psychology behind parenting, often spending her evenings reading books on the subject or attending lectures by specialists. As she navigated the intricate landscape of college life, Natalie began to grapple with questions of identity and purpose. She felt a growing desire to understand her roots, to comprehend fully the woman she was becoming.
Radicalization
As Natalie delved deeper into her studies and explored different aspects of her identity, she also became increasingly aware of the injustices and inequalities in the world around her. This awareness sparked a sense of urgency within her to take action and fight for change.
Natalie's activism began as an expression of her passion for social justice, but it soon evolved into something much more radical. She became heavily involved in organizations that opposed humanity colonizing other planets, seeing it as a violation of Earth's resources and a disregard for indigenous communities. She also vehemently spoke out against boys transitioning to girls, arguing that it was a threat to her own womanhood.
As someone who had always identified as female, Natalie saw the growing acceptance of transgender individuals as an attack on her own identity. She believed that allowing boys to become girls would erase the struggles and experiences of biological women like herself and contribute to the erasure of womanhood altogether.
Her strong convictions often put Natalie at odds with others in progressive circles, drawing criticism from fellow activists who accused her of being transphobic and exclusionary. But she remained steadfast in her beliefs, convinced that she was fighting for the preservation of true womanhood. Natalie's activism made waves on campus, earning both praise and backlash. She found herself at the center of heated debates and protests, often getting arrested during demonstrations. But despite all this, she felt fulfilled knowing that she was standing up for what she believed in.
As time went on, Natalie's views became increasingly extreme. She began to distance herself from friends who didn't share her ideologies and surrounded herself with individuals who shared her views on gender and social justice issues.
Protests against the United Space Command
During her third year, Natalie met an ex-serviceman of the California Army, Anthony Burke, who persuaded her into being more extreme in her cause against space expansion. His stories of the darker side of space colonization—the exploitation of resources, disregard for alien ecosystems, and the ethical implications of human settlement on other planets—resonated deeply with Natalie. This more extreme activism often included bombings of spaceports and USC bases, however, Natalie often only did these acts when casualties could be minimal or non-existent.
Natalie's relationship with Anthony became a complex web of emotions and ideologies. She admired him, both physical and mental, lent him an air of authenticity that she found compelling. However, as their plans grew more radical, so did the risks they took.
Sabotage mission
In April 2725, Burke recruited Natalie for a massive demonstration of his organization’s ideology. Blowing up a United Space Command starship planted throughout the targeted ship, they aimed to send a clear message that space exploration and exploitation had severe consequences. Natalie, dedicated as ever to her causes, found herself agreeing to participate in this sabotage mission, despite the knot of apprehension that tightened in her stomach.
The plan was risky; as they would have to infiltrate the targeted ship and plant explosive devices in key areas without detection. Their target was the USC Blue Dawn, a Discovery-class battleship. However, due to an unexpected security check, Natalie wound up getting arrested by the Dawn’s security team. Burke, himself also found himself in a pickle after the Dawn departed on an important mission with him trapped on board. With Natalie detained and Burke's whereabouts unknown, the situation started to look dire for the two activists.
Burke, using his military training, managed to evade capture longer than Natalie had. Natalie, after being interrogated by the Dawn’s commander, Colonial Kody Davidson, confessed to the plan and even identified Burke as her co-conspirator. She even gave the specifics of the explosive devices, and even offered to disable the bombs. Kody himself, having a slight history with Burke order a complete lockdown of the Dawn, before eventually cornering Burke attempting to escape. Seeing no way out, Burke decided to martyr himself and took his own life.
Informal pardon & conscription
In the aftermath of Natalie's involvement in the attempted bombing of the USC Blue Dawn, a surprising turn of events unfolded. Colonel Kody Davidson, the commander of the Dawn, saw fit to grant her an informal pardon for her actions. This marked a significant departure from the usual legal procedure, as typically such a pardon would only be granted after a proper trial and conviction. However, the circumstances surrounding Natalie's case warranted this exceptional decision. Also as part of her pardon, Natalie was conscripted to serve as a civilian engineering contractor aboard the Dawn until her trial date. This conscription meant that while she would not be a part of the military, she would still contribute her skills and knowledge to the ship's engineering department. It was an unconventional way to hold her accountable for her actions and ensure her availability for the trial.
Trial
The trial for Natalie's involvement in the attempted bombing of the USC Blue Dawn was a hushed affair, kept behind closed doors and hidden from the public eye. This was largely due to the terroristic nature of her arrest and her affiliation with the Free Space Party, which had been responsible for numerous attacks on both United Nations Federation and United Space Command targets over the last seven centuries. Despite the serious charges against her, Natalie remained composed and confident throughout the trial proceedings. She knew that she was not innocent of any wrongdoing.
Colonel Kody Davidson, commander of the USC Blue Dawn, was called to testify during Natalie's trial. He spoke highly of Natalie's character and her actions during the incident on board his ship. He recounted how she had willingly confessed to her involvement in the sabotage plot. Davidson also emphasized Natalie's crucial role in stopping the attack by disarming the explosive device herself.
Natalie's defense attorney also presented evidence showing that she had been a non-violent activist, and argued that she had been manipulated by Burke into participating in this extreme act of protest and should be given leniency. After careful consideration of all evidence presented, including Natalie's own testimony, the judge reached a verdict: guilty of conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism against a USC military starship.
POST-TRIAL
While Natalie expected to face harsh punishment for her involvement, Colonel Kody Davidson's testimony and her own cooperation in stopping the attack worked in her favor. The judge handed down an unusual sentence: instead of imprisonment, Natalie was to continue to serve out her sentence as a civilian engineering consultant aboard the USC Blue Dawn under the watchful eye of both Colonel Davidson and his Chief of Engineering, Malcom Hunter.Personal life
Commonly, when she is not actively protesting the government, Natalie works as a engineering consultant for Mars Corps Armory-Earth faculty. She also acts as a phone operator for her father's auto shop. Prior to that, Natalie would assist her father with the mechanical work but recently, as in the last couple years, she has shifted to office work when she started to become more feminine and concerned about her appearance.
Natalie is also very into nightlife and will often be found in a variety of clubs with her girlfriends flirting with men. On days when she is earthside, Natalie is often seen with her mother and sisters shopping for her wedding dress.
Family and engagement
Natalie has been raised as the youngest daughter of Jackson and Kira Lorne. She has two older sisters, Erica and Laura. Since she was young, Natalie has always been a 'daddy's girl', no matter what her father was doing whether it be working on cars in his shop, maintaining their house, or simply watching the game, Natalie was always by her father's side. Natalie is also an aunt to three nieces and two nephews. For herself though, Natalie has no children but she plans to one day with the man she loves, Darrell Landry.
Natalie and Darrell first met in college shortly after she and her precious boyfriend broke up. Natalie was of course in tears like most girls near a park bench when Darrell noticed her sitting there crying and came over to comfort her. Darrell was very sweet that day and offered to walk her home. Soon after, the two were nearly inseparable. They shared their first kiss during a Red Sox game, three years later he proposed to her, she said YES. However, Darrell doesn't know that Natalie is not biologically female. Though, Natalie herself is also unaware that she is not female.
Personality & Traits
Natalie is a complex mixture of traits and qualities that make her unique. On one hand, she has a love for all things mechanical and engineering, trained by her father in his auto shop. On the other hand, she is also a hardcore girly girl who loves to dress up, go out with friends, and have fun. She inherited her outgoing and welcoming personality from her mother, who was known for being the life of any party. Natalie has a natural charm and charisma that draws people to her. She's always ready to strike up a conversation and make new friends.
Natalie's love for fashion and makeup often surprises people who know about her engineering background. She loves experimenting with different looks and styles, constantly changing up her hair color or trying out new makeup trends. She sees it as another form of art and self-expression. Despite being extroverted, Natalie also values alone time to recharge and reflect on herself. This is especially important during times when she feels overwhelmed by her thoughts or emotions. She finds comfort in writing in her journal or going for walks in nature.
One of Natalie's most admirable qualities is her ability to listen without judgment. Her friends often seek her out when they need someone to talk to because she has an empathetic ear and always offers thoughtful advice. However, Natalie's strong opinions can sometimes get in the way of maintaining relationships with those who don't share the same views as her. This is especially evident when it comes to politics or social issues where she may clash with others who hold opposing beliefs.
