The Becceorian, also known as Wild Brutes, or Berserkers by human, are a formidable species to behold. Standing tall on their two massive legs, they tower over most other creatures with their hulking frames. Their bodies are covered in thick, coarse fur that ranges in color from deep browns to fiery oranges. Their faces are fierce, with sharp teeth and piercing eyes that seem to glow with an inner fire. These creatures hail from the planet Pheonope, a world ravaged by war and conflict. It is no wonder then that the Becceorian are known for their love of violence and destruction. They revel in the chaos of battle, their monomaniacal behavior driving them to seek out new foes to conquer. Despite their wild nature, the Becceorian are not without discipline. They are highly regimented, following strict codes of conduct that govern their actions both on and off the battlefield. This combination of ferocity and order makes them a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Immensely strong (surpassing the strength of Shilizal), Becceorian typically place a greater emphasis on brutality than wisdom; they are considered to be a savage species on the whole. It is no surprise then that the Hivivian Empire saw the value in incorporating the Becceorian into their ranks. After a brutal defeat at the hands of the Hivivian, the Becceorian were brought into the fold, adding their strength and ferocity to the already formidable army. But not all are pleased with the inclusion of the Becceorian. The Shilizal, in particular, resent the Becceorian for their violent tendencies and lack of restraint. It remains to be seen how this tension will play out in the future, but one thing is certain - the Becceorian are a force to be reckoned with, and their place in the Hivivian Empire is secure.
Biology
Anatomy & physiology
Becceorian, are mammals, and share common features with resemble large gorillas and bears. They are warm-blooded, and give birth to live offspring. Their four fingers including an opposable thumb, gives the Becceorian an advantageous hand structure that facilitated early tool-making and doubles as powerful weapons when disarmed of a firearm. In terms of circulatory system, Becceorian have a closed network consisting of one heart and blood vessels. Their red blood is due to hemoglobin, which contains iron. Becceorian possess two lungs that primarily function in a nitrogen-oxygen based atmosphere. Their lungs are also capable of filtering high levels of Carbon Dioxide, Methane, and Sulfur.
Becceorian musculature is vastly hypertrophied compared to most humanoid species. Muscle fiber density is estimated to be 2.4 times that of humans, giving them explosive strength and exceptional load-bearing endurance. Their trapezius and pectoral regions are overdeveloped to support extended bursts of upper body aggression—claw swipes, overhead strikes, and grappling maneuvers. The shoulder joint is highly mobile, but reinforced by thick tendon bundles and fibrous cartilage to resist dislocation under combat stress. These biological reinforcements are a direct response to the environmental demands of Pheonope, where the intense gravitational pressure has shaped every anatomical trait toward survival through power and durability. The Becceorian skeletal structure is equally adapted for high-impact resilience. Their bones are not only denser than human bones, but also structurally thicker, with trabecular bone comprising nearly 65% of internal volume—compared to 20–25% in humans. This gives them massive resistance to blunt force trauma and prevents fractures even under extreme compressive loads. The ribcage is flared and reinforced, protecting vital organs from internal rupture during concussive strikes. Their skulls are thick, forward-swept, and somewhat wedge-shaped, providing protection for the brain while amplifying the ferocity of headbutts—an instinctive and commonly used attack.
A Becceorian’s dermal layer contains a blend of tough keratinized tissue interwoven with dense collagen fibers, making their skin almost armor-like. The fur covering this skin is coarse and oily, capable of shedding water and repelling particulate matter from chemical weapons and environmental hazards. Burn resistance is higher than average, and their bodies heal surface wounds at an accelerated rate due to redundant capillary networks and rapid epithelial cell regeneration. They also produce high quantities of adrenaline and a unique stress hormone—tentatively named Ferobrine—which dramatically increases pain tolerance and temporarily suppresses non-lethal injury responses during combat. The Becceorian jaw is anchored by reinforced mandibular muscles and a shortened cranial base, granting them a biting force significantly stronger than ursine analogs. Their teeth are long, serrated, and continuously regrowing, designed to tear through meat, armor, and bone alike. Their digestive tract is relatively short, with an enlarged stomach and a powerful acidic environment capable of breaking down raw protein, bone fragments, and connective tissue. This allows them to consume prey and enemies indiscriminately—an efficient if brutal trait. Their sense organs are unusually acute. The nasal cavity is wide and lined with highly sensitive olfactory epithelium, allowing them to track blood, pheromones, and even atmospheric changes. Their ears are capable of detecting subsonic tremors and high-pitched frequencies, making them deadly in low-visibility environments. Vision is tetrachromatic and optimized for both night and day combat. Becceorian eyes contain a secondary reflective layer behind the retina—tapetum lucidum—granting them night vision superior to most other races, except for the caniic and tigriic. Their eyes are also shielded by retractable inner eyelids to protect against debris and sudden flashes.
Internally, their organ systems operate with redundancy in mind. The liver is sectioned into dual lobes capable of independent detoxification, and their kidneys possess a secondary filtration loop that reduces water loss. This is likely an adaptation to the arid and resource-scarce regions of Pheonope. Their hearts are three-chambered with a muscular septum that increases vascular efficiency under duress—allowing them to maintain peak performance even after significant blood loss or injury. Becceorian thermal regulation is handled through subdermal heat-shedding nodes located along the spine and limbs, where fur is sparser. These nodes glow faintly under infrared, especially during intense exertion or aggression. They emit pheromones tied to stress and social dominance, which play a subtle but powerful role in maintaining the social structure of Becceorian packs. These pheromones can agitate, rally, or subdue nearby individuals, depending on the chemical blend emitted by the dominant figure. Sexual dimorphism is pronounced, though rarely documented outside of limited military or scientific observation. Males are typically larger, more muscular, and more aggressive, while females are slightly smaller and possess higher fat retention for gestation. Both sexes are capable of extreme violence, though the role of the female is largely concealed from external species due to cultural barriers. Internally, however, both sexes possess equivalent physical capabilities, and it’s possible that the military asymmetry is societal, not biological.
Becceorian are not as mentally slow as they may appear, and are often fairly cunning tacticians. As such, they can pilot vehicles & ships and command both land-based & fleet encounters with strategic competence, albeit lacking in artistic flair. They also have a higher vocabulary than other members of the Hivivian, apart from Shilizal and Shalgan.
Genetics
The Becceorian’s genetic structure sets them apart not only from other species within the Hivivian Empire but also in the broader context of galactic biology. Their triple helix DNA structure is an extraordinary feature, offering both advantages and unique challenges for their evolutionary development. This rare genetic configuration is primarily responsible for their tremendous physical capabilities, including their immense size, strength, and heightened senses, which distinguish them as one of the most formidable species in the galaxy. The triple helix structure of their DNA plays a critical role in providing the complexity needed for their enhanced biological functions. While humans and many other species rely on a double helix structure, the third helix strand in Becceorian DNA has allowed them to evolve far beyond normal limits. This additional helix seems to support specialized areas of their physiology, such as their heightened muscular development, sensory perception, and rapid healing abilities.
The genetic makeup of the Becceorian contributes to their extreme muscular hypertrophy. Their muscle fibers are constructed with a denser protein matrix, which accounts for their superior strength and explosive power. This strength is not only a result of their evolutionary need to survive in the high-gravity environment of Pheonope but also their constant exposure to a culture of competition and warfare. In addition, the genes responsible for their bone density and size confer greater durability, allowing them to survive injuries and combat trauma that would cripple most other species. Another important factor in their genetics is their enhanced sensory capabilities. The extra strand of DNA dedicated to sensory perception enables them to possess vision, smell, hearing, and taste that are far superior to those of other species. Their tetrachromatic vision, for example, allows them to see in the dark and adapt quickly to shifting environmental conditions. They are also able to detect subsonic tremors and vibrations, making them exceptional trackers and hunters in various terrains, particularly in low-visibility conditions such as dense forests or in battle.
The Becceorian’s accelerated healing ability, largely a consequence of their genetic structure, ensures that they recover quickly from injuries and fight longer without succumbing to fatigue or infection. Their immune system is robust, able to fend off most diseases and injuries with little external aid. This rapid healing is further augmented by a unique hormonal compound, Ferobrine, which enhances pain tolerance and allows them to continue fighting despite serious wounds. This compound is also responsible for their aggressive behavior, as it stimulates heightened alertness and physical response during times of stress or conflict. The genetic makeup of the Becceorian also influences their organ systems, which are designed to withstand the constant physical strain they encounter. Their circulatory system, with a three-chambered heart, enhances oxygenation efficiency and ensures that they can operate at peak physical performance even under extreme duress. This anatomical feature also allows them to continue functioning effectively despite significant blood loss or physical trauma, reinforcing their reputation as resilient, battle-hardened creatures.
Genetic studies of the Becceorian suggest a degree of genetic redundancy in their organ systems, particularly in the liver and kidneys, which supports their high-stress lifestyle. Their organs are capable of rapid detoxification and maintaining balance under adverse conditions, which is a crucial adaptation to the arid and resource-scarce environment of Pheonope. Their bones, denser and structurally thicker than those of most humanoid species, provide exceptional resilience to blunt force trauma and enable them to endure crushing impacts that would otherwise cause severe fractures in other species. Despite their fearsome reputation, the Becceorian are far from being mindless brutes. Their unique genetic makeup has provided them with the intelligence to be cunning tacticians, capable of strategic thinking in battle. Though they do not place high value on intellectual pursuits such as philosophy or science, their understanding of warfare, survival, and the complexities of interspecies relations makes them highly effective members of the Hivivian Empire's military structure. This genetic blend of strength, resilience, and intellect ensures that they are more than just fearsome warriors—they are a complex species that has mastered the art of survival through both their biology and culture.
Life cycle and reproduction
The Becceorian reproduce through internal fertilization via sexual intercourse between a male and female. Becceorian sexual activity is extremely violent and public, usually by force. The gestation period for Becceorian is approximately 57 weeks, but the length of a normal pregnancy can vary by up to 6 weeks. Becceorian childbirth is considered extremely risky and prone to a great number of complications and multiple deaths. This is partly due to the fact that the size of the fetus's head is more closely aligned with the size of the pelvis and contributes to the often painful and prolonged labor experienced by Becceorian women, which can last for more than 120 hours. Becceorian young are born with little more than a basic set of reflexes, needing immediate care from their parents to survive. The newborns are initially blind and entirely dependent on the mother for sustenance and protection. During the first few months of life, they are kept close to the family unit, shielded from outside threats as their physical and sensory capabilities slowly develop. The rate of development in Becceorian infants is rapid, with the young typically reaching full physical maturity by their 20th year. However, they do not truly begin to integrate into adult society until they undergo a series of rites and challenges that test their physical prowess and survival instincts.
The importance of physical strength in Becceorian society dictates that the strongest individuals have the most offspring, ensuring the survival of the fittest. There is no societal taboo surrounding the use of violence in reproduction, as it is seen as a necessary means of securing genetic strength. The role of female Becceorian is largely tied to reproduction, although they do engage in child-rearing as well, while the males take on the role of protectors and warriors. Females are often kept in relative isolation during their pregnancy, ensuring their safety and allowing them to focus on childbirth and nurturing the young. The patriarchal nature of their society means that male leadership within families and packs is critical in ensuring the survival of the species. The birth of a Becceorian is a highly ritualized event. A ceremony is held to celebrate the newborn, with a display of physical strength from the father and male relatives. This display serves to demonstrate the power of the new family member and to assert the dominance of the pack in the ever-competitive hierarchy of their society. While the newborns are helpless at birth, they soon begin to develop their own strength and combat skills, learning quickly to fight, hunt, and survive in a harsh environment.
The average lifespan of a Becceorian is between 180 to 220 years. However, due to their violent nature and constant involvement in battles and wars, many do not live past the age of 60. Those who survive beyond this age are typically seen as warriors of legendary status, respected by their peers for their survival and prowess. While their reproductive cycle begins at around 20 years old, the violent nature of their culture often leads to early deaths, ensuring that only the strongest and most ruthless survive to propagate the species.
Diet
Becceorian have a strong predatory instinct and are natural hunters. Their sharp claws and teeth, along with their enhanced senses, make them highly skilled predators. They are capable of taking down large prey on their own, but often work in packs to bring down larger or more dangerous creatures. Their diet primarily consists of meat, with a preference for fresh kills. In battle, they are known to consume the flesh of their enemies as a show of dominance and to gain strength from their fallen foes. This practice has led to a reputation for being ruthless and barbaric among other species in the Hivivian Empire. Apart from feeding on the flesh of their enemies, Becceorian also hunt and consume other creatures for sustenance. They have no qualms about preying on weaker species and see it as a natural part of survival. Some may even engage in cannibalism and eat members of their own kind.
Being carnivorous, Becceorian require high amounts of protein and fat in their diet to maintain their muscular physique and strength. Their digestive system is highly adapted to process and break down raw protein, bone, and connective tissue efficiently. The Becceorian stomach is large and capable of generating a powerful acidic environment, which allows them to digest even the toughest of materials, such as bone fragments and cartilage. This biological adaptation supports their brutal diet, making them able to feast on prey in its entirety, leaving little waste behind. Their bodies are designed to extract maximum energy and nutrients from meat, which is essential for sustaining their immense muscle mass and explosive strength. Becceorian also have a high metabolism due to their active, combative lifestyle, which requires them to consume large quantities of food. They are often in a constant state of energy expenditure, whether it's hunting, fighting, or traveling long distances. As a result, their feeding habits are opportunistic, and they will not hesitate to consume whatever prey they come across. While their primary sustenance is meat, they may also consume certain types of plants in emergencies, although these are not considered a primary food source.
In terms of cooking and preparation methods, Becceorian prefer to eat meat raw or lightly seared over an open flame. The practice of consuming meat raw or minimally cooked is deeply ingrained in their culture, as they believe this method allows them to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients and "strength" from the prey. Raw meat is also seen as a symbol of power, as the act of consuming flesh in its rawest form demonstrates the hunter's superiority over their kill. Additionally, the smell and taste of fresh meat are believed to stimulate heightened aggression and adrenaline, further enhancing their combative nature. This practice of eating raw or lightly cooked meat extends to their treatment of fallen enemies. It is not uncommon for a Becceorian to tear into the flesh of their foes immediately after battle as a form of symbolic victory and to derive strength from the act. The consumption of their enemies’ flesh is seen as a ritualistic act that enhances their own power and ensures their place at the top of the social hierarchy.
The combination of high-protein, high-fat diets and aggressive feeding behaviors plays a key role in the Becceorian’s physical development. Their extreme muscular hypertrophy, strength, and endurance are all fueled by this nutrient-dense diet, which enables them to outperform most other species in terms of raw power and combat effectiveness. Moreover, their digestive efficiency allows them to process and extract more energy from the food they consume, ensuring that their bodies remain in a constant state of readiness for combat. In terms of food storage or preparation beyond consumption in battle, the Becceorian have little need for elaborate cooking tools or systems. The raw nature of their diet reflects the simplicity and brutality of their survival instincts. They do not typically preserve food in the way that more technologically advanced societies do. Instead, they hunt, consume, and move on—always in search of new sources of food and conflict. In the rare instances that food is stored, it is done in a rudimentary fashion, with the flesh of their kills being kept in caves or hidden away in the environment for later consumption.
Psychology & Intelligence
The Becceorian are far more than just brute force and aggression, though these traits certainly dominate their psyche. While many perceive them as simple-minded savages, their intelligence is specialized, particularly in the realms of combat and survival. From an early age, they are conditioned to understand the importance of dominance and strength, but they are also groomed to excel in tactical thinking and problem-solving, albeit in a very pragmatic sense. Their combat effectiveness is not just about raw power; it is also about their ability to outthink and outmaneuver their opponents on the battlefield. Becceorian are highly adept at rapidly assessing their environment, identifying weaknesses in enemy formations, and exploiting those weaknesses with devastating precision. This tactical prowess makes them valuable assets in battle, capable of leading squads or even entire fleets through complex operations with a focus on victory through sheer force of will. Though their society values strength above all else, the Becceorian are not devoid of intellectual capacity. They have developed an impressive ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, even those outside their native knowledge. Becceorian can pilot complex vehicles and ships, and are often able to command land-based and fleet operations with tactical competence. While they lack the intellectual curiosity that many other species may pursue in fields such as philosophy or art, they are capable of understanding the principles of engineering and the functionality of advanced weaponry. In fact, their technical knowledge is largely practical, focusing on creating tools and weapons that give them an edge in warfare. The Becceorian do not seek knowledge for knowledge’s sake but for the purpose of survival and domination, which is reflected in their culture.
The psychology of the Becceorian also plays a significant role in their intellectual capacity. They are driven by a deep sense of competition and a need for validation through physical dominance. This creates an environment where they constantly push themselves to be stronger and more cunning than those around them. Their intense desire for power and the survival of the fittest mentality ensures that only the most capable and intelligent individuals rise to the top. This competitiveness breeds a form of intellectual development, though it is entirely centered around physical and tactical prowess rather than abstract or academic pursuits. Despite their focus on aggression, the Becceorian understand the value of knowledge in warfare. This makes them highly adaptable in various combat scenarios, capable of employing new tactics and technologies to maintain their superiority. In terms of IQ, the average Becceorian falls within a range of 90 to 110. While this may seem modest compared to other species, it is important to remember that their intelligence is tailored to their environment and cultural needs. The lower end of the spectrum consists of individuals who are driven primarily by instinct and physical prowess, while those at the higher end of the spectrum exhibit a keen mind for strategy and leadership. These individuals are often capable of commanding significant respect and influence within their packs and can play critical roles in larger military operations. The tactical brilliance displayed by the higher-ranking Becceorian is often a combination of their natural instincts and their acquired knowledge of warfare, making them particularly dangerous and effective in their roles. Thus, while the Becceorian may not be intellectual giants in the traditional sense, their intelligence is finely tuned to ensure their survival and dominance in the violent, competitive world they inhabit.
Culture
Becceorian culture is a reflection of their psychology and biology. As a species that values strength and survival, their society is highly competitive and centered around warfare. Becceorian are organized into clans or packs, with each one led by a dominant male alpha, or chieftain. This chieftain holds the most power and makes all major decisions for the pack.
Warfare plays a significant role in Becceorian culture. They believe that it is necessary for survival and place great importance on physical strength, combat skills, and strategy. This mentality is instilled in them from birth, with young Becceorian undergoing rigorous training in combat and survival skills. Hunting is also an essential part of their culture, as it not only provides food but also serves as training for battle.
Within their packs, there is a strict hierarchy based on strength and dominance. The strongest members hold the most power, while weaker individuals are seen as expendable or even disposable. This can lead to internal power struggles within packs, with challengers vying for the position of chieftain.
Languages
The native language of the Becceorian is known as "Narzarn," which translates to "the language". It is a complex and unique language that incorporates a wide range of sounds, including growls, barks, howls, and roars. This animalistic language evolved from the early days when the Becceorian were still primitive beings living in the wilderness.
Narzarn is not just limited to verbal sounds; Becceorian also express emotions through scents and musk's. These scents are released by glands located near their vocal cords and can convey a wide range of emotions such as fear, anger, and happiness. Young Becceorian have difficulty controlling the release of these scents but learn how to moderate them as they grow older.
Spoken Narzarn is rough and guttural, with a similar flow and rhythm to Mandarin or German. It consists of words made up of various combinations of sounds, each with its own unique meaning. The length and pitch of these sounds can affect the meaning of a word, making it a complex language to learn for non-native speakers.
Aside from spoken language, Becceorian also communicate through body gestures and postures. They use their sharp claws and teeth to make specific hand gestures or movements that convey different messages. This form of non-verbal communication often accompanies spoken Narzarn to emphasize a point or emotion. Despite being their primary language, many Becceorian have also learned other languages through interactions with other species in the Hivivian Empire. As they do not possess vocal cords like most species do, they rely on special implants that allow them to mimic speech patterns in other languages. This has proven useful for covert operations or espionage within enemy territories. However, even with this ability, Becceorian often struggle with other languages due to their lack of social skills and empathy. Their blunt communication style can come across as rude or aggressive to other species, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts.
Naming conventions
Most known Becceorian have Latin-sounding names, such as Teckamontus and Curniaus. The "-us" at the end of their name is an honorific denoting maturity or experience in battle, similar to the "-al" suffix on Shilizal names. The "-yia" suffix (exhibited by individuals like Gurreyia and Synomyia) is associated with the Recti. Not all Becceorian names follow these two conventions; examples of Becceorian with nonstandard names include Ekoric and Surnum.
Cultural and political titles
- Chieftain of the Becceorian: The Chieftain of the Becceorian is the leader of the entire Becceorian race.
- War chieftain: Becceorian war chieftains are in charge of the larger Becceorian packs. Superior to the standard chieftain title, war chieftains often use heavy weapons in battle to establish their strength and physical prowess.
- Chieftain: The title of chieftain has existed long before the Becceorian were incorporated into the Hivivian military. Often commanding small packs or clans, chieftains lead Becceorian and several lower caste species alike into battle.
The arts and architecture
The architecture of the Becceorian is a mixture of primitive and modern elements. Due to their warlike lifestyle, their settlements are often simple, but they do have some more permanent structures in certain areas. Traditional Becceorian dwellings are typically huts made from a combination of straw, and animal hides. These huts are small and low to the ground, providing shelter from harsh weather conditions.
In more permanent settlements, such as those near key resources or areas of importance, the Becceorian have adopted more modern construction techniques. These structures are often made from stone and are larger in size compared to their traditional huts. However, due to constant conflicts between packs, many of these structures have fallen into ruin.
The Becceorian also utilize natural formations such as caves for shelter and protection. During times of war or conflict, they may fortify these caves with walls or barricades for added defense. In terms of aesthetics, Becceorian architecture is functional rather than decorative. Their focus is primarily on survival and practicality rather than beauty. As the Becceorian continue to interact with other species and become part of the Hivivian, their architectural styles have evolved to incorporate new technologies and materials. However, the core elements of simplicity and functionality will likely remain an important aspect of their design.
Tools and technologies
The Becceorian are a highly advanced race, with technology that is both crude and sophisticated. They have mastered the use of melee weapons, creating gravity hammers, grenade launchers and other similar weapons with blade attachments. These weapons are often favored by the Becceorian due to their preference for violance. Despite their proficiency in melee weaponry, the Becceorian also utilize advanced plasma technology acquired through their alliance with the Hivivian Empire. This includes plasma rifles, cannons and other energy-based weapons. However, the Becceorian still prefer their weaponry.
In terms of transportation, the Becceorian primarily use large motorbikes known as "War Striders" to get around quickly and efficiently. These bikes are equipped with two plasma cannons and razor sharp spikes on the front tires, making them formidable in battle and capable of traversing rough terrain. Becceorian also have a strong affinity for larger, tank-like vehicles known as "Kruloks". These heavy-duty vehicles are heavily armored and armed with various weapons, making them ideal for transporting large groups or for a powerful assault.
Religion and spirituality
The Becceorian do not have a strong belief in religion or spirituality. Their culture is heavily focused on survival and conquest, leaving little room for the contemplation of abstract concepts like gods or an afterlife. Instead, the Becceorian place their faith in their own strength and abilities, believing that they are responsible for shaping their own destiny.
This lack of religious belief is rooted in the evolutionary biology of the Becceorian. As a race that evolved from carnivorous predators, they are driven by primal instincts and a natural inclination towards war and violence. These traits have shaped their culture and way of life, leaving little room for introspection or contemplation. However, this does not mean that the Becceorian are completely devoid of any spiritual beliefs. Some individuals may hold personal beliefs or rituals passed down from their ancestors, but these are not considered to be part of a formal religion or belief system within Becceorian society.
The concept of deities or divine beings is largely rejected by the Becceorian. They see themselves as the ultimate power in their world, with no need for assistance from higher powers. In fact, the idea of worshiping a deity is seen as weak and submissive in Becceorian culture.
Science and philosophy
The Becceorian are not a race that places much importance on scientific or philosophical pursuits. Their focus is primarily on warfare and conquering other species, with little interest in expanding their knowledge or understanding of the universe. However, this does not mean that the Becceorian are devoid of scientific advancements. In fact, their advanced technology and weapons demonstrate their proficiency in science and engineering. But their approach to these fields is practical rather than theoretical, with a focus on creating efficient and deadly weapons rather than exploring scientific concepts.
The Becceorian also do not have a strong philosophical tradition. They do not contemplate the meaning of life or ponder abstract questions about existence. Their thought processes are largely focused on strategies for survival and domination, leaving little room for abstract thinking. Their lack of interest in science and philosophy can be attributed to their evolutionary biology. As a species that prioritizes physical strength and aggression, they do not see the value in intellectual pursuits. Instead, they view physical prowess as the ultimate measure of success. Despite this, there are some individual Becceorian who may be interested in scientific or philosophical topics. However, they are often seen as outliers within their society and may even be viewed with suspicion by their fellow becceorian.
Society
Becceorian society is dominated by a fierce pack culture and a focus on lineage. Familial bonds tie each member to the other, forcing them into states of rage and desperate mourning for their fallen pack mates should one die in battle. Becceorian society is an authoritarian dictatorship controlled by the strongest male; dominance is established by the social, martial, and sexual success of the patriarch. Patricide is a common side effect of the patriarchy due to the ambition seeded within many Becceorian to rise to the top of a hierarchy. Female Becceorian generally serve as mothers and caretakers. No females have been observed in military roles. A Becceorian's blood relation to another Becceorian do not offer subordinates immunity from discipline.
Gender
Becceorian society is strictly patriarchal, with males dominating in every aspect of life. Females are largely relegated to the role of mothers and caregivers, with no females observed in military or leadership positions. This is due to the societal belief that physical strength and aggression are the most important traits for success, and these traits are typically associated with males.
There is very little known about the role of females in Becceorian society as they are not often seen or studied by other species. It is believed that they live in separate communities from males, only coming together for mating purposes. There is also speculation that females may engage in rituals or ceremonies related to reproduction and childbirth. Females are highly valued within Becceorian society solely for their ability to bear children. However, this does not necessarily mean that they have a high status or respect within their society. In fact, it is likely that many females are treated as little more than breeding machines and are expected to produce as many offspring as possible.
In terms of physical appearance, female Becceorian are believed to be smaller and less muscular than males. They may also have different coloration or markings on their bodies compared to males, but this has not been confirmed. It is unclear if there is any form of gender discrimination within Becceorian society, as there is currently no evidence to suggest so. However, it can be assumed that females do not hold much power or influence compared to males.
Kinship
Becceorian society is highly focused on the concept of kinship and familial ties. Becceorian are born into specific packs or clans, and their worth is often determined by the strength and status of their pack. Each pack is led by a strong male patriarch, who maintains control through dominance and physical prowess. Within a pack, kinship and family connections are highly valued. Older generations often pass down traditions, knowledge, and even leadership positions to their offspring. However, these familial connections do not offer immunity from discipline or punishment within the pack hierarchy.
The concept of bloodlines is also important in Becceorian society. A strong bloodline with a history of successful warriors and leaders is highly revered. This means that an individual's worth can also be linked to the success of their ancestors. However, despite the importance placed on kinship, personal ambition often takes precedence over familial ties in Becceorian society. Ambitious young Becceorian may betray or even kill their own relatives in order to advance their own position within the pack hierarchy.
This constant competition for power and status can create a tense environment within families and packs. Dominance must constantly be asserted in order to maintain one's position within the pack, leading to potential conflicts and rivalries between blood relatives.
Government and politics
Becceorian do not possess a stable or functional governing structure. This is due to their warlike nature and constant competition for power within packs. The focus on personal ambition also means that there is no centralized government or system of laws that applies to all Becceorian. However, there are some instances where certain packs may hold some level of governance authority over others. These packs are known as "Aviks" or master-packs, and they are usually led by powerful and dominant Becceorian who have gained control over multiple smaller packs. These Aviks may enforce their own rules and laws within their territory, but they are still subject to the overall authority of the Chieftain of the Becceorian.
The Chieftain is considered the supreme pack alpha among all Becceorian. They are seen as the most powerful and respected leader in the society, with ultimate control over all other packs and Aviks. The title of Chieftain is not necessarily inherited or passed down through bloodlines, but rather taken by force or cunning from the current holder. Due to the chaotic nature of Becceorian society, there is no formal political system or election process for choosing a Chieftain. Instead, it is decided through a series of challenges and battles between potential candidates. The victorious candidate becomes the new Chieftain and must constantly prove their strength and leadership abilities in order to maintain their position. While the Chieftain holds significant power and influence over all Becceorian, they also face constant threats from ambitious individuals who seek to overthrow them. As a result, they must continuously demonstrate their dominance through displays of strength and decisive actions in order to maintain their position as leader.

Fashion and dress
On Pheonope and other Becceorian colonies, there are two different articles of clothing that made of the very basic garments. These consisted of a draped garment, slip-on garment. The basic garment and braw for males was called Jurria. This garment is like a loincloth and is worn by Becceorian men of all social standings. The Jurria would often be worn under a cloak or cape called a Engirr. Various styles of engirr exist that serve to indicate the status of the wearer.
Becceorian warriors are commonly seen in a leather combat harness draped over each shoulder and connected to a utility belt, with wrist gauntlets and shin guards. High-ranking commanders and war chieftains often donned full body armor from head to toe.
Trade and economics
Trade and economics are not significant aspects of Becceorian society. Due to their barbaric and militaristic lifestyle, they have little need for trade or commerce. Instead, they rely on pillaging and raiding neighboring planetary bodies for resources.
The concept of ownership is not highly valued among Becceorian, as they believe everything belongs to the strong and powerful. As a result, there is no currency or monetary system within their society. They simply take what they want through force, whether it be food, weapons, or other resources. However, there are some limited forms of trade that exist among the Becceorian. Certain allied packs may exchange goods or services with each other. For example, one pack may provide horses in exchange for weapons from another pack. These transactions are often based on mutual benefit rather than a standard value system.
In terms of economics, Becceorian do not place much importance on material possessions or wealth. The measure of success in their society is based on strength, power, and dominance over others. Therefore, social status is determined by one's ability to command a strong pack and defeat challengers.
Food production is also not a significant part of Becceorian life. They primarily rely on hunting and gathering for sustenance while traveling through different territories. In times of shortage or famine, they may turn to cannibalism as alternative means of obtaining food.
Conflict
Conflicts and wars among Becceorian are common and often brutal affairs. These conflicts can originate from a variety of sources, including personal vendettas, territorial disputes, or competition for resources. They are known for their quick tempers and aggressive nature, making conflicts among them intense and bloody.
Personal conflicts can arise over any perceived slight or offense. As a highly honor-bound society, Becceorian place great importance on respect and reputation. Any insult or slight to one's honor can result in a challenge to combat or even retaliation against the offender. Territorial disputes are also common among Becceorian, as they constantly seek to expand their territory and prove their dominance over other packs. These disputes often result in violent clashes between opposing packs, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Competition for resources is another source of conflict among Becceorian. While they primarily rely on raiding neighboring planets for resources, there may be times when these resources run scarce within their own territories. In these cases, packs may turn against each other to secure valuable resources such as food, weapons, or animals.
Becceorian wars are known for their brutality and violence. They have no qualms about using any means necessary to defeat their enemies, including tactics such as ambushes, surprise attacks, and even nuclear warfare. The goal is always total domination over the enemy and the acquisition of more resources for themselves.
Role within the Hivivian
The Becceorian are a relatively new addition to the Hivivian. However, in just a short time, they have quickly risen through the ranks and established themselves as one of the most feared species within the alliance. Their strength, aggression, and natural combat abilities make them well suited for various roles within the Hivivian.
One of their primary roles is serving as heavy shocktroopers. These are elite soldiers who are tasked with breaking through enemy defenses and causing chaos and destruction on the battlefield. Becceorian shocktroopers are known for their brute force and ability to withstand heavy fire, making them valuable assets in intense battles. They are often used in situations where other species may not be able to endure or break through enemy lines. In addition to their role as shocktroopers, Becceorian also serve as squadron commanders within the Hivivian military. These commanders lead groups of lesser species.
Becceorian also play an important role in securing territory for the Hivivian. Their aggressive nature makes them well suited for undertaking dangerous missions. They excel at quickly claiming land and resources, further solidifying their position as vital members of the Hivivian.
Relations with Other Hivivian Species
Due to their reputation for aggression and dominance, relations between Becceorian and other Hivivian species can be tense at times. They are respected for their strength and fighting abilities but may also be viewed with fear or caution by other species.
Becceorian typically do not form strong alliances or friendships with other species within the collective. They see themselves as superior to others and may view those who are not as physically strong or aggressive as weak. This attitude can often lead to conflicts and clashes with other Hivivian species. One of the main sources of tension for Becceorian is their rivalry with the Shilizal, one of the Hivivian's founding species. The Shilizal are known for their organized culture and strong code of honor, which can sometimes come into conflict with the Becceorian's preference for brute force.
